Tech Manager I (Venda Direta)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tech Manager I (Venda Direta) based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a software engineering team building a strategic platform for Generative AI and LLM-powered agents.

You will combine people leadership, technical direction, product thinking, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-moving environment.

The focus is on enabling functional teams to build and use AI agents with greater autonomy while delivering measurable business value.

You will help shape the squad’s vision, engineering practices, roadmap, and objectives while keeping teams aligned and productive.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, the ability to translate complex technical topics, and a pragmatic approach to competing priorities.

You will also contribute to product discovery, modernization initiatives, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

• Lead and develop the software engineering team through regular 1:1s, individual development plans, action plans, and continuous feedback.
• Guide the team in adopting agile practices and facilitate ceremonies such as planning sessions, refinements, and retrospectives.
• Remove team impediments and create an environment built on trust, respect, collaboration, and psychological safety, adapting leadership style to different situations.
• Navigate the broader organization to identify key stakeholders, opportunities, and partnerships that can contribute to the team’s success.
• Coordinate initiatives involving multiple teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic product outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder sessions to communicate results, gather feedback and insights, and align expectations around the product roadmap.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Build the squad’s vision and mission collaboratively with team members and ensure alignment with broader product objectives.
• Monitor product, business, and technical metrics, challenging assumptions, improving indicators, and providing visibility into objectives and initiative status.
• Participate in product discovery, problem definition, solution exploration, and incident-resolution processes.
• Contribute to defining squad objectives, key results, and performance metrics, communicating progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Establish sustainable software development processes that enable consistent delivery while maintaining a healthy pace for the team.
• Balance competing priorities, take ownership of risks and decisions, and operate effectively in a fast-changing environment.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience leading software development teams responsible for digital products.
• Strong technical background, ideally with previous experience as a software developer, engineer, or architect, and the ability to discuss software architecture, integrations, and engineering best practices.
• Experience improving technology processes, products, or services and driving meaningful operational or technical improvements.
• Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills within agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience leading technology and/or process modernization or migration initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to influence different audiences and align teams around common goals.
• Ability to operate with autonomy, manage ambiguity, and make sound decisions in a high-speed environment with competing priorities.
• Experience developing people and fostering high-performing, collaborative engineering teams.
• Understanding of LLMs and AI agents operating in production is a plus, including familiarity with frameworks such as Agno, LangChain, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary senior teams spanning software engineering, data science, machine learning engineering, and AI is desirable.
