Job Purpose and Impact

The Director, Smart and Digital Projects MSC leads the business transformation, digital innovation and AI acceleration agenda across Manufacturing & Supply Chain and also in Ag&T LATAM, beyond MSC, when demanded.
This role is accountable for delivering business value through transformation programs, digital solutions, AI-enabled capabilities and operational excellence initiatives. The position serves as the primary business partner for Smart MSC capabilities, including Digital Control Tower (DCT), planning platforms, AI solutions and other technology-enabled business capabilities.
The role leads the implementation, in partnership with DT&D, of ERP deployments, like TMS - transportation management systems, planning platforms, Digital Control Tower capabilities, business applications, AI agents and other digital solutions, ensuring successful execution, business adoption and measurable value realization.
The position operates through two primary accountability pillars:
1. Projects & Transformation
Responsible for transformation, implementation, adoption and value realization across the project portfolio.
2. Smart MSC & AI
Responsible for accelerating AI Adoption, AI Enablement and AI Business Impact across Manufacturing & Supply Chain or AgT when demanded.
Success Definition
Success is measured primarily through business value creation, enablement, adoption, productivity improvements, and sustainable operational outcomes rather than delivery of predefined technical features.

Key Accountabilities

• The Director, Smart & Digital Projects MSC leads the transformation, digital, AI, and operational excellence agenda across Manufacturing & Supply Chain and, when required, Ag & Trading LATAM. The role is accountable for identifying, prioritizing, implementing, and scaling initiatives that deliver measurable business value through process transformation, digital solutions, AI-enabled capabilities, and technology investments.
• Working closely with DT&D, business leaders, and external partners, the position oversees the successful delivery, adoption, and value realization of ERP programs, planning platforms, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Digital Control Tower capabilities, business applications, AI solutions, and other technology-enabled initiatives.
• The role manages a portfolio of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, investment objectives, and expected outcomes. Responsibilities include portfolio governance, business case development, roadmap definition, resource prioritization, risk management, stakeholder engagement, change management, and benefits realization.
• The position promotes Agile principles, product thinking, and iterative delivery approaches when appropriate, while maintaining strong accountability for timelines, budgets, adoption, business outcomes, and value creation.
• A key responsibility is accelerating AI adoption, enablement, and business impact across the organization by expanding AI utilization, developing organizational capabilities, promoting responsible AI practices, and building a pipeline of AI opportunities that generate measurable improvements in growth, cost reduction, cash flow optimization, productivity, and decision quality.
• The role is ultimately accountable for ensuring transformation, digital, and AI investments deliver sustainable business outcomes, operational excellence, and measurable value realization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience leading projects and product development initiatives.
• Experience working in hybrid delivery environments (Agile and Waterfall).
• People leadership experience.
• Fluent English.
• Experience leading Supply Chain transformation and AI-driven business initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in manufacturing and agribusiness operations.
• Strong team management experience.
• Experience with SAP and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Manufacturing operations experience, including soybean crushing, biodiesel production, grain storage, and grain export terminals.
• Advanced Spanish.
