<p>WPP Production is looking for a hands-on Production Solutions Architect to transform how content is produced for clients in Japan.</p>
<p>Rather than simply delivering 100 content assets, this role designs and implements the workflow through which those 100 assets - and the next 1,000 - can be produced efficiently, consistently and responsibly.</p>
<p>You will work with clients to understand their production challenges, design AI-enabled workflows, configure agents and automation tools, run pilots and help transition successful solutions into live production.</p>
<p>You will primarily use WPP Open, Open Production and other approved WPP capabilities, supplemented by approved third-party tools where appropriate.</p>
<p>This is an autonomous individual-contributor role embedded in Japan and working closely with Global Solutions Design, APAC Expansion Studios, the Agentic Centre of Excellence and WPP Open.</p>
<h1>Key Responsibilities</h1>
<h2>Client Discovery and Solution Design</h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead client workshops to understand business objectives, content requirements and current production processes.</li>
<li>Map existing workflows and identify opportunities for AI, automation and process improvement.</li>
<li>Translate client challenges into practical use cases, solution designs, business cases and implementation roadmaps.</li>
<li>Design workflows connecting people, platforms, AI agents and automation tools.</li>
<li>Define agent responsibilities, inputs, outputs, hand-offs, human review points and quality controls.</li>
<li>Support client pitches, proposals, scopes of work and commercial estimates.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Agent and Workflow Implementation</h2>
<ul>
<li>Configure approved AI agents and production workflows within WPP Open and other approved environments.</li>
<li>Develop prompts, system instructions, knowledge sources, structured inputs and output formats.</li>
<li>Build and test rapid prototypes using natural-language, no-code and low-code tools.</li>
<li>Evaluate outputs for quality, accuracy, brand compliance and production usability.</li>
<li>Configure existing global solutions for Japanese client requirements before proposing new development.</li>
<li>Define requirements and collaborate with the Agentic CoE, Creative Technologists or AI Engineers when more complex development is required.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Pilot Delivery and Operationalization</h2>
<ul>
<li>Plan and deliver client pilots and proofs of concept.</li>
<li>Define test cases, success criteria and expected operational benefits.</li>
<li>Measure improvements in production time, cost, throughput and quality.</li>
<li>Turn successful pilots into repeatable production workflows.</li>
<li>Create operating manuals, playbooks, role definitions and quality-control processes.</li>
<li>Train client and internal teams to operate the implemented solution.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Global Collaboration and Governance</h2>
<ul>
<li>Act as the Japan-market extension of WPP Production's global solutions and AI capabilities.</li>
<li>Use existing global agents, workflows and playbooks wherever possible to avoid duplication.</li>
<li>Follow global intake and governance processes for new agents, automation solutions and third-party tools.</li>
<li>Share successful Japan solutions and learning with regional and global teams.</li>
<li>Partner with WPP Open on platform requirements and WPP Enterprise Solutions on complex MarTech integrations.</li>
</ul>
<h1>Experience and Skills</h1>
<ul>
<li>Five or more years of relevant experience in content production, creative technology, MarTech, workflow automation, solutions consulting or a related field.</li>
<li>Practical experience using generative AI, automation, no-code or low-code tools.</li>
<li>Ability to configure prompts, AI agents and multi-step workflows.</li>
<li>Good understanding of content-production processes across digital, social, video, adaptation, localization or scaled content.</li>
<li>Experience gathering client requirements and turning them into practical solutions.</li>
<li>Ability to build and test prototypes, not only provide strategic recommendations.</li>
<li>Strong client communication, workshop facilitation and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to proposals, estimates and business cases.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and move projects forward with limited supervision.</li>
<li>Professional fluency in Japanese and English.</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and global teams.</li>
</ul>
<p>Experience with WPP Open, Adobe GenStudio, Firefly, Workfront, AEM, DAM platforms or similar technologies would be an advantage.</p>

<li>Client-funded revenue and billable utilization.</li>
<li>Solutions progressing from discovery to pilot and live operation.</li>
<li>Adoption of WPP Open and approved production workflows.</li>

<li>Reuse of global solutions and contribution of Japan learning back to the global network.</li>

</ul>
<h1>The Person We Are Looking For</h1>
<p>You are comfortable leading a client discussion, translating the challenge into a production workflow, configuring the relevant agents and tools, and testing the solution with real users.</p>
<p>You do not need to be a software engineer, but you are technically curious, commercially minded and motivated to build. You know when to configure a solution yourself and when to involve specialist engineering or global teams.</p>
<p>Most importantly, you are interested in delivering a repeatable way to produce content - not simply delivering the next asset.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection.
