Associate Data Engineer

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We are looking for a talented Associate Data Engineer to join Wildlife’s Operations team in São Paulo, Brazil.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and execution, our Operations organization spans Finance, Corporate Development, People, and Legal. You will play a critical role in driving this transformation, sitting at the center of the AI revolution within our business. You will design, build, and maintain the data pipelines, AI-powered workflows, and automation systems that replace manual processes, unlock new capabilities, and enable our teams to operate at a whole new level of scale and efficiency.</span></p> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What you'll do</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Build &amp; Maintain Pipelines: Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and integration scripts using Databricks, SQL, Python, and Git to automate workflows across the entire Operations team.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Leverage AI-Powered Development Tools: Use AI coding assistants and agentic development tools to accelerate implementation, troubleshoot complex logic, and build, test, and iterate on high-quality automation solutions efficiently.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with non-technical business partners to understand operational pain points, translate business logic into technical requirements, and deliver automated solutions.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure Data &amp; System Quality: Monitor, audit, and maintain data integrity and workflow reliability across connected operational systems.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Continuous Process Improvement: Identify bottleneck routines, map existing workflows, and proactively implement automations that eliminate manual overhead.</span></li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What you'll need</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Education / Level: Recent graduate or early-career professional in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Math, or related technical fields.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Core Tech Stack: Strong foundational knowledge of programming logic, SQL, Python, and version control using Git.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Data Platform Familiarity: Hands-on project or academic experience with Databricks or PySpark/data processing environments.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">AI-Assisted Workflow: Experience or high comfort using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) as a primary way to write, refactor, and speed up code development.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Cross-Functional Communication: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to non-technical business teams.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Language &amp; Presence: Advanced/Fluent English and ability to work hybrid from our São Paulo office (Itaim Bibi) 3 days/week.</span></li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>More about you</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You are naturally curious, proactive, and thrive on solving complex logical puzzles.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You are comfortable taking initiative and working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You bridges the gap easily between technical implementation and business context.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You default to leveraging technology and AI to automate repetitive problems rather than doing them manually.</span></li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>About Wildlife</strong></span></h1> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Wildlife is one of the leading mobile game developers and publishers in the world.
