<p>We are looking for an experienced, hands-on <strong>Senior Developer</strong> to support the migration of an enterprise digital platform from <strong>Sitecore to Contentful.</strong></p>
<p>The role involves both content migration and the migration of existing applications, React/Typescript development, API integrations and modern headless architectures.</p>
<p>We are also looking for someone with an AI-first mindset who embraces AI-assisted and spec-driven development to improve delivery speed, quality and consistency, while retaining ownership of technical judgement and code quality.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Application and Content Migration</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Migrate and modernise existing Sitecore-backed applications to work with Contentful.</li>
<li>Develop, refactor and enhance frontend applications using React and TypeScript.</li>
<li>Replace Sitecore-specific dependencies, components and integrations with Contentful-compatible solutions.</li>
<li>Develop content migration tooling, scripts and automated transformation processes.</li>
<li>Implement Contentful content models, API integrations and content delivery patterns.</li>
<li>Ensure migrated applications maintain functionality, performance, accessibility and quality.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>AI-Native Engineering</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Adopt an AI-first mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to accelerate development, migration and problem-solving using AI.</li>
<li>Apply spec-driven development, using clear technical specifications, acceptance criteria and tests to guide AI-assisted implementation.</li>
<li>Leverage AI to support Sitecore analysis, schema mapping, migration script generation, application refactoring and validation.</li>
<li>Use AI coding assistants effectively while reviewing, testing and taking accountability for generated outputs.</li>
<li>Share AI-enabled development practices and contribute to improving team productivity.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Engineering Quality and Collaboration</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Independently own complex development tasks and significant migration components.</li>
<li>Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to CI/CD and automated testing.</li>
<li>Identify technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Lead Developers, architects, QA and content teams.</li>
<li>Support less experienced developers through mentoring, code reviews and knowledge sharing.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Essential Skills and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong commercial software engineering experience, particularly with <strong>React and TypeScript</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience migrating, modernising or refactoring existing frontend applications.</li>
<li>Practical experience with <strong>headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful, and an understanding of Sitecore.</strong></li>
<li>Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns and content modelling.</li>
<li>Experience with backend development, migration scripting or data transformation.</li>
<li>Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and an understanding of spec-driven development approaches.</li>
<li>Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, solve complex problems and influence technical implementation decisions.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Desirable Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Direct experience migrating Sitecore applications and content to Contentful.</li>
<li>Experience with Next.js, Sitecore JSS or CMS/DXP replatforming.</li>
<li>Experience applying AI to content analysis, migration automation, code transformation or test generation.</li>
<li>Experience with multilingual, multisite or composable digital platforms.</li>
</ul>
