As the Engineering Manager for the team, you’ll be responsible for expanding the reach of Stripe’s global payments network and delivering a best-in-class card payments experience in these regions.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll make some of the most significant strategic, product, and technical decisions for card payments at Stripe. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p> <h4 id="minimum-requirements">Minimum requirements</h4> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in an engineering management role.</li> <li>8+ years of full-time software development experience.</li> <li>A demonstrated track record of successfully hiring, developing, and mentoring engineers.</li> <li>The ability to lead by example in fast-paced, high-impact, and ambiguous environments.</li> <li>A commitment to high operational rigor when working with production systems.</li> <li>Experience building extensible software solutions that scale with business growth.</li> <li>The ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional, and cross-time-zone environment while fostering a positive team culture.</li> </ul> <h4 id="preferred-qualifications">Preferred qualifications</h4> <ul> <li>Experience with payments-related products.</li> <li>Experience working in global and cross-regional environments.</li> <li>Experience using AI tools to improve team execution, quality, and overall effectiveness.</li> <li>Experience building new teams.</li> <li>Experience developing product platforms that serve other product teams.</li> <li>A proven track record of collaborating with partners across multiple regions and time zones.</li> <li>Experience and comfort in a user-facing role.</li> </ul>
