Hundreds of thousands of businesses of all sizes and types use Stripe Billing to collect revenue for recurring and one-time payments across a variety of different pricing models—from selling SaaS subscriptions, to orchestrating multi-stage contracts, providing recovery and retention tools to prevent customer churn,—and with the acquisition of Metronome, delivering Usage-Based Billing.</p> <p>Within this group, our team’s mission is to make Stripe and Metronome feel like one product, so merchants can bill for subscriptions and usage in a single, seamless experience.</p> <p><strong>Team Matching:</strong> exact team matching for one of the subteams within this org will begin during final stages.<em> Please note we may also consider you for different orgs based on your experience, location, etc. </em>More information on our team matching process can be found <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zvJkO2c7GzukHG-_oqc5wbOLajpuh5FjbmZPcZPU1o0/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.ahb3b6nrktv1">here</a>.</p> <h2>What you’ll do</h2> <p>We’re looking for Full Stack engineers who are interested in building software services and platforms that impact thousands of employees and millions of Stripe users, regardless of whether they’re an end user, developer, or partner.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Scope, architect, and lead technical projects to improve on existing features and solve new problems</li> <li>Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack</li> <li>Design, build, and maintain user-facing experiences, services, APIs, and systems</li> <li>Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation</li> <li>Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps</li> <li>Partner with engineers and product managers on infrastructure and other product teams to ensure your features are part of an integrated Stripe suite</li> <li>Establish and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and technical design</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</span></p> <h3>Minimum requirements</h3> <ul> <li>2-5+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships nor includes co-ops)</li> <li>Strong coding skills in any programming language <em>(we understand new languages can be learned on the job so our interview process is language agnostic)</em></li> <li>Strong collaboration skills, can work across workstreams within your team and contribute to your peers’ success</li> <li>Have the ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and think of yourself as entrepreneurial</li> <li>Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external users</li> <li>Strong AI adoption skills, proactively experiments with AI tools, adapts inefficient manual habits, and actively innovates to enhance performance</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>2+ years of software development experience, with an emphasis on modern frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/TypeScript/React) and building delightful user interfaces</li> </ul>
