Right now this includes products like Billing, Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, Reconciliation and the underlying platform for batch and real time processing of large scale financial data to power these solutions. These solutions are going to be key pillars for Stripe’s growing SaaS business and a major revenue stream.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <p>We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead the team building the revenue subledger accounting system and user-facing product features that will streamline and automate accrual accounting for Stripe customers.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead your team of talented engineers to solve data management systems challenges at scale and deliver a high level of technical and operational excellence</li> <li>Collaborate with product managers and talk to directly to customers to drive a high-impact, prioritized roadmap for your team</li> <li>Recruit, coach, mentor, develop, and grow engineers on your team</li> <li>Be deeply involved in launching new product features and capabilities</li> <li>Partner with engineers and product managers across Stripe to ensure your features are integrated into the Stripe suite</li> <li>Contribute to engineering initiatives across the Revenue and Finance Automation (RFA) organization and across Stripe as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p>We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of engineering management experience and 10+ years of overall experience in the industry.</li> <li>Successfully led high-complexity teams, working in parallel on multiple high-impact areas.</li> <li>Works very well cross-functionally, and is able to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffs.</li> <li>Thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.</li> <li>Encourages a healthy work environment that’s both supportive and challenging and enables engineers to do their best work.</li> <li>Strong technical background and hands-on experience in solving large scale and difficult technical problems.</li> <li>Values and enjoys working with a diverse group of people with different expertise.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Familiarity with large scale distributed systems or big data processing systems.</li> <li>Experience working in high-growth teams similar to Stripe.</li> <li>Experience building financial systems or tools for financial experts.</li> <li>Experience with accounting procedures or systems</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
