<h3><strong>About the team</strong></h3>
<p>The Solutions Architecture Team partners with our users to realize their full potential through the adoption of prescriptive solutions that drive their growth and success. </p>
<p>We work with founders, C-level executives, finance leaders, product design and engineering teams at large global brands and platforms who are building financial services solutions with Stripe. We work closely with Account Executives, Professional Services, Customer Success Managers, Partners, Technical Account Managers Product, and Engineering teams to develop and execute on the account strategy for Stripe in market.</p>
<h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2>
<p>Your mission is to uncover the deepest levels of customer pain and desired outcomes, going beyond surface-level requirements. By truly understanding their strategic business objectives, you will architect and tailor Stripe's solutions as the definitive answer to their most pressing challenges. You will be instrumental in mapping the customer's transformation journey, crafting future-state roadmaps and solution architectures that inherently factor in complex third-party integrations.</p>
<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Execute meticulous technical discovery, conducting in-depth business analysis and background research on customer operations, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes to build a foundational understanding that informs every proposed solution. This goes beyond fact-finding; it's about understanding their "why."</li>
<li>Lead strategic engagements, guiding APAC and Greater China users through a structured discovery process to align with their core business priorities. You will design compelling, technically sound solutions and master the "technical win" by evangelizing these proposals through executive briefings, comprehensive readouts, tailored presentations, and impactful solution demonstrations that resonate with the customer's specific challenges and desired future state.</li>
<li>Identify and articulate expansion opportunities, strategically extending Stripe’s footprint within existing accounts into new global markets and business units. This involves introducing new capabilities and local payment methods, always with a clear focus on the technical feasibility and the value delivered at each touchpoint.</li>
<li>Act as the "Voice of the Customer" within Stripe's product and engineering teams, meticulously capturing insights, emerging trends, and new opportunities from the field. You will champion these requirements, ensuring they are accurately prioritized and inform future product development.</li>
<li>Serve as the critical technical counterpoint to the sales executive, providing invaluable technical insight and designing robust solutions for both prospective and existing platform users. You will be the expert guide on Stripe's technical merits and strategic benefits for both platforms and their end-user base.</li>
<li>Craft and deliver compelling technical demonstrations that don't just show features, but powerfully showcase how Stripe's platform solves specific business problems, highlighting the unique value proposition, key differentiators, and potential for customization. Crucially, you will illustrate how these benefits cascade directly to the customer's own user base, driving their success.</li>

<h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2>
<p>We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p>
<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>7+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role such as sales engineer, pre-sale solution consultant or solutions architect for a global software enterprise.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin as the positions is primarily working with enterprise Chinese merchants based in China</li>
<li>Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision makers and build credibility at all levels.</li>
<li>Effective group-facilitation skills and confidence in proposing and leading customer meetings to gain strategic footing and pursue opportunities.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures. A background in writing code in any of Stripe’s primary deployment languages (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, etc.) is a plus.</li>
<li>Outstanding spoken and written communication skills, presentation skills, and confident in explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li>
<li>Ability to operate independently in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Passion to take on ownership and drive change in a constantly evolving environment. </li>
<li>Ability to travel per business needs</li>

<h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in the payments/ billing / invoicing / issuing / banking / Fintech space</li>
<li>Prior experience in consulting</li>
<li>Experience at a growth stage internet/software company</li>
