SOFTWARE ENGINEER, DEVOPS (STARLINK)</strong></p>

<p>Join the team responsible for enabling the rapid development velocity that is critical to the success of Starlink. As a software engineer specializing in developer operations, you will engage with other Starlink engineers to learn about their systems, workflows, and challenges. You will take this knowledge and your passion for building great software to develop systems that allow our teams to innovate rapidly and reliably. You will be responsible for the complete life-cycle of the software you create, including development, testing, and support. </p>

<p>Aerospace experience is not required to be successful here - rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems and want to make an impact on an inspiring mission.</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Invent tools and processes that enable fast, accurate, and easy-to-use development and deployment systems</li>
<li>Provide fast and comprehensive software validation, including virtualized, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit test platforms </li>
<li>Monitoring and data analysis in support of a continuous integration and release system</li>
<li>Hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the entire Starlink stack </li>
<li>Create and manage core infrastructure such as databases and software libraries</li>
<li>Identify areas for improvement and create innovative solutions that enable high developer velocity</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline and 5+ years of software engineering experience; OR 7+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree</li>
<li>Development experience in Python, Go, or C++</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>DevOps, site reliability engineering, or systems administration experience </li>
<li>Deep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment and continuous monitoring</li>
<li>Strong understanding of relevant technologies, such as:</li>
<ul>
<li>Bazel or other build systems</li>
<li>Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies</li>
<li>GitOps, ArgoCD, or other relevant experience</li>
</ul>
<li>Fluency in Python</li>
<li>Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing</li>
<li>Experience managing large scale systems</li>
<li>Developed and deployed software that has been used in real world applications/projects</li>
<li>Creative approach to problem solving, exceptional analytical skills and engineering fundamentals</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills both written and verbal</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed</li>
</ul>
<strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:</strong><br><br>
Pay Range:<br>
Level 3: $165,000.00 - $230,000.00<br><br>
<p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.</p>
<p>Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>ITAR REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>
