<p>Roblox is a rich ecosystem encompassing varied product categories across nearly all platforms (mobile, desktop, console, VR, etc.). Keeping our app performant, scalable, and reliable requires a robust technical architecture to empower thousands of engineers to build at scale. As the <strong>Senior Product Manager</strong> for this space, you’ll drive the creation of foundational systems like our multi-process architecture, resource management systems, and key observability frameworks that power the heart of the Roblox App. </p>
<p><strong>You will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Understand, influence, and expand the company’s thinking on central themes like Performance, Reliability, and Maintainability, working together with partner teams on App Performance and Infra Reliability to accomplish shared goals.</li>
<li>Define the capabilities and inner workings of critical systems like our process lifecycle manager, asset download orchestrator and critical observability frameworks like our sessionization system.</li>
<li>Drive a multi-year roadmap to modernize our App Architecture across key themes like modularization, network resiliency, and resource efficiency. Dive deep into problem spaces with Engineering to ideate new systems to scale our App. </li>
<li>Drive the roadmap for Observability & Logging Systems. Dive deep into monitoring & triage workflows, identifying gaps to create new features and systems that extend our capabilities</li>
<li>Empower our customers. Every feature team across Roblox builds on top of the foundation we build. Work closely with them to evangelize, integrate, and migrate teams to the latest standards.</li>
<li>Write product and technical specifications to communicate requirements & behaviors of the systems we build and unblock the team to relentlessly execute.</li>
<li>Work closely with many passionate internal stakeholders, engineers, designers, data scientists, and product team members.</li>
<li>Present and debate nuanced and difficult decisions with our highly engaged and visionary leadership.</li>
<li>Dive into the technical nitty-gritty, helping make the right decisions on a complex app that is shipping across every major consumer platform.</li>

<p><strong>You have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5-7+ years of experience including as a PM building platforms or highly technical products.</li>
<li>Experience owning and driving roadmaps for teams that span multiple feature areas</li>
<li>Experience as an engineer or engineering manager building platform products, managing migrations and designing complex systems.</li>
<li>A degree or equivalent experience in a highly technical field like computer science, software engineering</li>
<li>Experience building complex systems 0 to 1 or driving client performance optimizations is a plus</li>

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
