<p>Join the front-end fabrics team and help shape the next generation of enterprise hardware platforms and software-defined data-center infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of hardware, operating systems, storage, networking, and distributed systems—solving complex problems that directly influence how customers deploy, operate, and scale their environments.</p>
<p>This is an opportunity to own meaningful work across the full platform lifecycle: from early hardware bring-up and system validation through manufacturing release, customer deployment, upgrades, and fleet-level reliability. You will partner closely with hardware engineers, system architects, OS developers, and customers to turn ambitious platform requirements into robust, supportable products.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drive differentiated value from new hardware platforms by shaping architecture and design requirements that improve performance, scalability, and fleet-level efficiency—from early bring-up through manufacturing release, deployment, upgrades, and operations.</li>
<li>Design, implement, debug, and deliver user-space software in C and C++ across storage protocols, networking, and data-center architectures.</li>
<li>Develop and improve remote server-management capabilities using industry standards such as Redfish.</li>
<li>Design and enhance Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) features that make platforms easier to operate, diagnose, recover, and maintain at scale.</li>
<li>Build and maintain software components and engineering tools in C, C++, Python, Go, and Rust.</li>
<li>Work hands-on with hardware platforms during bring-up, system-level debugging, validation, customer delivery, and production support.</li>
<li>Partner with hardware engineers, system architects, and operating-system developers to define specifications, review designs, and ensure seamless hardware–software integration.</li>
<li>Collaborate with customers and technology partners to understand requirements, resolve complex issues, and follow solutions through to successful delivery.</li>
<li>Lead technical initiatives and influence project direction across multiple engineering teams.</li>
<li>Improve engineering practices, automation, observability, and operational readiness across the platform lifecycle.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL BRING</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in C and C++, including object-oriented design and modern C++ standards (C++11 or later).</li>
<li>Strong Python skills for build and test automation, lab tooling, diagnostics, and system validation.</li>
<li>Experience with Go and/or Rust is a plus.</li>
<li>Strong interest in storage and networking protocols, data-center hardware, and distributed systems.</li>
<li>A desire to investigate problems deeply at the intersection of hardware and software.</li>
<li>Experience leading teams, technical initiatives, or projects across organizational boundaries.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with hardware platforms, including requirements feedback, bring-up, system-level debugging, customer delivery, and production support.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>NICE TO HAVE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience shipping or supporting enterprise-class, x86-based appliances.</li>
<li>Experience with storage or networking protocols and technologies such as NVMe, Ethernet-based fabrics, or related data-center architectures.</li>
<li>Experience designing for reliability, availability, serviceability, observability, and non-disruptive upgrades.</li>
<li>Experience working with distributed systems and managing complexity across large-scale deployments.</li>
<li>Experience building automated test infrastructure, hardware labs, or fleet-scale diagnostics.</li>
</ul>
