<p>We're hiring a Senior Director, Marketplace Media to lead our US and Canada media team and set the standard for how Podean wins on Amazon. This is a senior leadership role for someone who knows Amazon Ads inside and out: Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP, and Amazon Marketing Cloud. You'll own the strategy playbook, the people, and the systems that let an entire agency scale, and you'll prove every decision against client results.</p>

You've done it enough times that very few scenarios are uncharted territory (minus AI, we are all learning). You love enterprise clients, and you want to be a thought leader in our space.</p>
<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Define Podean's media strategy playbook and what "great" looks like across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Amazon DSP, and Prime Video and streaming TV ads.</li>
<li>Make Amazon Marketing Cloud a core part of how we plan, measure, and prove results: audience strategy, new-to-brand, path-to-purchase, and incrementality.</li>
<li>Raise the bar across the US and Canada portfolio through clear standards, account reviews, and hands-on coaching.</li>
<li>Bring the same rigor to Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and other retail media networks as client needs grow.</li>
<li>Lead bid tech, tooling, and AI</li>
<li>Own Podean's point of view on bid technology and optimization, including the tooling roadmap, platform partnerships, and capability investments.</li>
<li>Set QA standards for pacing, harvesting, and account health, and sponsor the automation that keeps performance consistent as our book grows.</li>
<li>Lead how the team adopts AI in media management, from agentic workflows to new Amazon betas, and turn what works into repeatable process.</li>
<li>Build and develop the Team</li>
<li>Lead and grow a team of Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers across the US and Canada.</li>
<li>Set performance goals, hold the team accountable, and coach senior leaders to connect strategy to client business outcomes.</li>
<li>Attract, develop, and retain top talent, and handle complex team situations with minimal executive involvement.</li>
<li>Partner with UK, EU, and APAC media leaders as a global media buddy to share best practice across markets.</li>
<li>Be the Senior Partner to our Biggest Brands</li>
<li>Serve as senior media lead and trusted advisor to enterprise and Tier 1 clients.</li>
<li>Understand client commercials and profitability, and steward every media dollar with transparency and data integrity.</li>
<li>Partner with Account Management, Retail, Content, and Analytics to drive full-funnel growth plans.</li>
<li>Grow the Business and our Reputation</li>
<li>Lead the media story in new-business pitches, including credentials, case studies, and pitchware.</li>
<li>Represent Podean at industry events, with Amazon Ads, and on LinkedIn as a recognized voice in marketplace media.</li>
<li>Manage media team KPIs, forecasting, and operational efficiency.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>10+ years of progressive experience in performance media, including 5+ years leading Amazon Ads strategy for brands, ideally within an agency.</li>
<li>Expert, hands-on knowledge of the Amazon Ads ecosystem: Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud (SQL familiarity a plus), Amazon Marketing Stream, and Brand Analytics.</li>
<li>Deep experience with bid and campaign management tools such as Pacvue, Skai, Perpetua, or similar, and a clear view on when to build, buy, or automate.</li>
<li>Proven success building and scaling media teams, including leading leaders.</li>
<li>A track record of measurable client outcomes you can point to: growth, efficiency, and new-to-brand results.</li>
<li>Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and client profitability.</li>
<li>Confident communicator with pitch experience and the ability to own a room with enterprise clients and Amazon partners.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and other retail media networks.</li>
<li>Experience managing or partnering with globally distributed teams preferred.</li>
