<p class="p1">We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-quality backend systems. In this role, you will drive technical architecture, mentor teammates and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver robust solutions.</p>
<p class="p1">You’ll champion engineering best practices, proactively identify areas for improvement and lead efforts to ensure system reliability, performance and a seamless customer experience.</p>

<p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions for complex scenarios, ensuring high-quality results that may be consumed by other teams.</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively within your team and with cross-functional partners, such as Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams, representing your team as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain and improve the team's engineering practices, suggesting and implementing technology, patterns, or process enhancements.</li>
<li>You will play a key part in migrating legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures, driving technical excellence, and mentoring teammates.</li>
<li>Support system and data migrations, ensuring minimal disruption, backward compatibility, and performance optimization.</li>
<li>Proactively identify areas of improvement in team systems, processes, and scalability.</li>
<li>Lead by example in code quality, contributing significantly to code reviews and acting as a focal point for engineering excellence questions.</li>
<li>Help monitor production systems, investigate potential issues, and lead efforts to resolve critical production challenges while maintaining a customer-centric approach.<em><strong><br></strong></em></li>

<h3 class="p1"><strong>Who you are</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li class="p1">6+ years in backend software engineering roles, with demonstrated ability to navigate technical trade-offs and ambiguity effectively.</li>
<li class="p1">Proficiency in C#, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.</li>
<li class="p1">Proven experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.</li>
<li class="p1">Hands-on knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server.</li>
<li class="p1">Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka).</li>
<li class="p1">Exposure to legacy system modernization or platform migration projects is highly valued.</li>
<li class="p1">Strong experience writing unit tests and ensuring high test coverage.</li>
<li class="p1">Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.</li>
<li class="p1">Experience with microservices architecture.</li>
<li class="p1">Experience in designing new functionality for existing complex components while maintaining scalability and performance.</li>
<li class="p1">Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.</li>
<li class="p1">BA/BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.</li>
</ul>
<h3 class="p1"><strong>What could set you apart</strong></h3>

<li class="p1">Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, especially in migration or modernization contexts.</li>
<li class="p1">Practical experience with Agile development methodologies.</li>
<li class="p1">Familiarity with non-relational databases such as MongoDB.</li>
<li class="p1">Exposure to AI/ML concepts, AI-enabled APIs, or building backend services that support intelligent features.</li>
<li class="p1">Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth within the team.</li>
