<p>Are you an experienced software engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions and driving technical excellence within a collaborative agile team? Join our technology group as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will lead the design, execution, and continuous optimization of critical public-facing and internal applications for a leading provider of business marketing solutions in the legal industry — helping consumers find attorneys and access legal information while enabling law firms to grow through strategic digital marketing. The team leverages industry-leading tools and technologies, including AI and elastic computing, to drive results.</p>
<p>How your day-to-day work will look like:</p>
<p>Architect, design, and deliver complex application features, setting high technical and software standards across the team, while guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.</p>
<p>Shape the agile delivery lifecycle from architecture refinement and epic definition through production releases, owning non-functional requirements to ensure system resilience, security, and performance at scale.</p>
<p>Evaluate emerging industry trends, AI tools, and elastic cloud technologies to advocate for and implement innovative solutions.</p>
<p>Embed secure development practices and vulnerability mitigation protocols into the continuous delivery pipeline.</p>
<p>Partner closely with product management, cross-functional engineering teams, and external vendor partners to align technical strategies with business priorities, and provide strategic tier-3 support for production systems.</p>
<p>This would make you the ideal candidate:</p>
<p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).</p>
<p>Minimum 6+ years in a technical software development role with demonstrated progression into senior-level technical leadership.</p>
<p>4+ years of deep experience architecting and developing enterprise Java applications using Spring Framework, with comprehensive automated testing practices.</p>
<p>Extensive experience designing, building, securing, and maintaining scalable RESTful microservices and API ecosystems.</p>
<p>Advanced expertise with cloud services (AWS or Azure), including hands-on experience with containerized applications (Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate), serverless architecture (Lambda), messaging (SQS, SNS), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform).</p>
<p>Proven track record in database design, complex SQL optimization, and efficient ORM/data access management for high-throughput applications.</p>
<p>Strong expertise in system design patterns, distributed systems architecture, microservices, and clean code principles.</p>
<p>Deep knowledge of secure development practices, security testing methodologies, and vulnerability resolution using tools like Snyk or Qualys.</p>
<p>Strong inclination toward CI/CD automation, DevOps principles, performance tuning, and proactive system monitoring.</p>
<p>Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor team members and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</p>
