You will lead strategic and tactical initiatives by ensuring the cross functional teams execute the design, build, and ongoing management of complex computing systems based primarily on microservice architectures. In addition, you will provide management and technical leadership by establishing processes, scope of teams/individuals, sharing best practices and technology trends, and acting as a mentor related to their area(s) of expertise.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Embrace our corporate culture by fostering collaboration without boundaries, encouraging teamwork and communication that is clear, open, and honest.</li> <li>Staff and lead the cloud engineering teams by establishing roles and responsibilities, processes, and expectations</li> <li>Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of managers, team leads, and staff level members.</li> <li>Establish and execute on a multi-quarter roadmap for services owned, created, or adopted by the team. Integrate cross-functional and organization wide priorities into the multi-quarter roadmap and establish the necessary processes to communicate and track status.</li> <li>Act as a product owner for services owned, supplying requirements, prioritizing and grooming the backlog, and providing clarification of scope.</li> <li>Act as the program manager and agile lead for projects spanning one or more areas, teams, and technologies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Mentor managers and team leads in the establishment of roadmaps, definition of done, team/individual performance, and the execution of agile/scrum methodologies.</li> <li>Mentor and direct others in their technology evaluations, technical designs, and technical implementations.</li> <li>Direct and establish processes for the development of implementations, service definitions, component interfaces and experimental prototypes to the operations, and engineering teams for systems within a product or service family.</li> <li>Direct and establish processes for the design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of strategies, automation, and solutions for Netskope’s production services.</li> <li>Establish, understand, document, and be able to communicate, the nonfunctional requirements for the system (security, reliability, scalability, maintainability, etc.).</li> <li>Direct the team and ensure the coverage of subject matter expertise on all aspects of designated Netskope products, services, and their dependent infrastructure in order to support and improve the reliability, function, and scalability of these solutions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Masters’’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or combination of comparable education and experience typically obtained by 10 or more years related work experience.​</li> <li>15+ years demonstrated expertise in designing, building and managing complex computing systems and teams.&nbsp; This includes a mix of on-prem and offsite teams, as well as managing offshore contractors.</li> <li>Comprehensive understanding of Public Cloud architecture and design to include working knowledge of specific details and design of some of the prominent Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP,etc…).</li> <li>Experience with business requirements and functional specifications regarding interface development, functional architecture, and distributed software design/implementation.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to staff multiple and direct teams capable of developing large-scale functional system and data architectures; implementation designs in collaboration with stakeholders in a distributed workforce environment.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability and willingness to act as subject matter expert, tracking technology/industry trends, and to provide data-driven reasoning for recommending technology paths.​</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to mentor or direct others in their technology evaluations.​</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to sanitize and drive automation in a rapidly growing global system</li> <li>Deep expertise with operational support systems, automation, and CI/CD tools</li> <li>Knowledge of the Agile project management methodologies.</li> <li>Knowledge in a variety of programming languages including Python, C, C++, Go.</li> <li>Experience with modern cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc…)</li> <li>Established track record for providing valuable technical details to developers and engineers.</li> <li>Established track record for providing valuable feedback during planning and implementation of existing projects.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-SD1</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Compensation:&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">At Netskope, salary is one component of our competitive total rewards package. The salary range for this position is as listed below. This is a national range. For purposes of complying with applicable laws, the range applies to candidates in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Washington, and other states.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target commission amount at 100% goal achievement.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">In addition to salary, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus plan (for non-sales roles) and a stock award program.
