<p>The Endpoint Data Security team designs, implements and enhances next-generation endpoint security products. Netskope Endpoint DLP extends the Netskope Cloud DLP solution to data in use on employees’ managed machines protecting it from loss and theft. It seamlessly extends all the advanced solution capabilities of Netskope Cloud DLP to corporate endpoints to consistently identify, monitor and protect sensitive data leaving such endpoints via USB.</p>
<p><strong>What’s in it for you</strong></p>
<p>As a Staff Software Engineer in the Data Protection team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing client software for Netskope Cloud Security solutions, and solving some of the most challenging cloud access & data security problems for enterprise customers.</p>
<p><strong>In this role you will</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end, from technical design through production deployment and operational excellence.</li>
<li>Set the architectural direction of backend distribution APIs and services to ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance at scale.</li>
<li>Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.</li>
<li>Strategically prioritize initiatives and technical workstreams to deliver the highest-impact and most time-sensitive outcomes, while proactively identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks to ensure successful execution.</li>
<li>Champion engineering best practices across code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.</li>
<li>Set standards for operational excellence, including monitoring, alerting, on-call processes, and post-incident analysis.</li>
<li>Perform thorough code reviews and uphold a high standard of technical rigor and maintainability.</li>
<li>Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Influence newly-surfacing AI development best-practices and help the team be more productive.</li>
<li>Contribute to technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing across teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required skills and experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.</li>
<li>10+ years of experience building and operating highly available, distributed backend systems in production environments.</li>
<li>Strong experience designing and developing large-scale backend services using Golang.</li>
<li>Experience deploying and scaling services within cloud infrastructure.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to express complex technical ideas clearly. The ability to treat others with kindness even in tense situations is very important and valued.</li>
<li>Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.</li>
<li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control systems (e.g., Git, Gitlab, Jenkins).</li>
<li>Experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring (e.g., Datadog, Grafana).</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Education</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required; Master’s degree or higher preferred.</li>
</ul>

<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">At Netskope, salary is one component of our competitive total rewards package. The salary range for this position is as listed below. This is a national range. For purposes of complying with applicable laws, the range applies to candidates in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Washington, and other states.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target commission amount at 100% goal achievement.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">In addition to salary, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus plan (for non-sales roles) and a stock award program.
