Senior Platform Engineer

<p>We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Tool and Application Development team within the Platform Engineering organization.&nbsp; This team is responsible for designing, building and modernizing internal applications and tools that enhance the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), streamline developer workflows, and improve engineering productivity.</p> <p>In this role, you will contribute as a full-stack developer with strong system design and DevOps mindset. You will work on a diverse range of initiatives—from building custom internal applications to refactoring legacy tools and incorporating modern, AI-driven automation. Your work will be foundational to scaling our development infrastructure and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.</p> <p>This position is ideal for engineers who are passionate about developer experience, enjoy solving technical challenges collaboratively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Full-Stack Development:&nbsp;</strong>Design,&nbsp;implement, and maintain internal web applications and services&nbsp;that support engineering teams and workflows.</li> <li><strong>Modernization Projects:&nbsp;</strong>Contribute to the re-architecture and modernization of legacy tools using scalable, maintainable technologies focused on performance, usability, and reliability.</li> <li><strong>Technology Integration:&nbsp;</strong>Leverage a diverse&nbsp;technology&nbsp;stack—including ObjectScript, OAuth2, Python, Node.js, SQL, and containerized environments—to deliver robust and scalable solutions.</li> <li><strong>CI/CD Enablement:&nbsp;</strong>Design&nbsp;and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like&nbsp;GitLab CI, enabling efficient and automated build, test, and deployment workflows.</li> <li><strong>Observability &amp; Reliability:&nbsp;</strong>Implement and maintain observability solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system reliability and performance.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Team Collaboration:&nbsp;</strong>Partner with engineers, product managers, and other platform teams to identify pain points and deliver impactful solutions.</li> <li><strong>Code Quality &amp; Best Practices:&nbsp;</strong>Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development practices.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience: </strong>5+ years of professional experience in Software Development, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles.</li> <li><strong>Technical Proficiency: </strong>Strong programming skills in at least one major language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js, ObjectScript, Go) with proficiency in both frontend and backend development.</li> <li><strong>Database Knowledge: </strong>Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases.</li> <li><strong>DevOps &amp; Tooling: </strong>Experience with CI/CD pipeline development (e.g., GitlLab CI), and familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Perforce, Ansible, and Kubernetes.</li> <li><strong>Security Awareness: </strong>Practical experience implementing secure authentication/authorization protocols like OAuth2 in web applications.</li> <li><strong>Adaptability &amp; Initiative: </strong>Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully in a dynamic, evolving environment.</li> <li><strong>Collaboration &amp; Mentorship: </strong>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
