<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Trade Compliance Director is responsible for leading and executing the company’s Mexico trade compliance strategy across multiple manufacturing sites operating under the IMMEX program. This role ensures full adherence to Mexican Customs Law, any regulatory updates, U.S. Customs requirements, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) frameworks. The Director will oversee inventory control systems (Annex 24/30), internal and external audits, classification, duty optimization programs, and compliance-driven process standardization.</p>

<p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Regulatory & Customs Compliance (Mexico, International)</li>
<li>Ensure full compliance with IMMEX, Annex 24 & 30, LGIS, ISR/IVA certifications, and other applicable Mexican regulations.</li>
<li>Interpret and implement updates related to the 2026 Mexican Customs Law, including:</li>
<li> Enhanced electronic traceability and data validation requirements</li>
<li> New standardized digital documentation obligations</li>
<li>Stricter timelines for regularization and temporary import inventory control</li>
<li>Expanded obligations for demonstrating “material transformation” under IMMEX</li>
<li>Strengthened enforcement and penalty structures<br>• Work with the US Customs Director on U.S. Customs requirements related to cost reconciliation, classification, and entry documentation for exports to the U.S.<br>• Manage compliance with CTPAT and OEA security standards across all sites.</li>

<li>Inventory Control, Annex 24/30 & ERP Connectivity<br>• Guarantee accurate operation of Annex 24 inventory control software, ensuring correct configuration, transactional integrity, and interface with ERP systems and the US/MX customs brokers<br>• Ensure Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and validate the effect of BOM structure on backflush results and material consumption reporting.</li>
<li>Audits, Controls & Risk Management<br>• Lead internal and external audits (SAT, SE, Customs Broker audits, corporate audits, OEA, CTPAT).<br>• Develop and enforce SOPs (HDMS) work instructions, and compliance policies across all sites.<br>• Monitor inventory permanency status (e.g., 18-month limits for temporary imports, 12mo inventory control on textiles, aluminum & steel, etc).<br>• Conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions for compliance exceptions.<strong><br></strong></li>

<p><strong>Who you are</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>International Logistics Leader</li>
<li>Comercio Exterior y Aduanas, LAE, or similar</li>
<li>10+ years of experience in Trade Compliance leadership roles under IMMEX (Director or Senior Manager level)</li>
<li>Bilingual.</li>
<li> Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized<br>• Hands-on, proactive, and able to coach teams at all levels<br>Expertise in:<br>• HTS Classification<br>• Annex 22/24/30 systems<br>• ERP integration<br>• IMMEX compliance<br>• FTA (USMCA, EUR1, Japan, TIPAT, Rule 8th)<br>• Cos Reconciliation and Drawback</li>
