<p data-start="161" data-end="395">The Tech Lead is a senior engineering role responsible for driving technical excellence within a specific product or platform <em class="Highlight htdb96469c-04e7-4951-9c32-6a68a2f5bd0c">stream</em>. This role combines hands-on development with architectural leadership, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. The Tech Lead partners closely with Head of <em class="Highlight htdb96469c-04e7-4951-9c32-6a68a2f5bd0c">stream</em>, Product Managers, and Team Leads to deliver business value while maintaining strong technical standards.</p>
<h2 data-start="397" data-end="417">What you’ll drive:</h2>
<div><strong>Technical Architecture and System Design</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Own high-level system design and architecture decisions for features, services, and platform components.</li>
<li>Perform technical evaluation of tasks, initiatives, and projects, including feasibility and trade-offs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Team Leads and other Tech Lead on technical roadmap alignment.</li>
<li>Support incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex production issues.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Hands-on Development and Quality Standards</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Contribute as an Individual Contributor (IC) to critical or complex parts of the system.</li>
<li>Drive technical excellence within the assigned <em class="Highlight htdb96469c-04e7-4951-9c32-6a68a2f5bd0c">stream</em>, ensuring alignment with company-wide engineering standards.</li>
<li>Ensure code quality, reusability, scalability, and extensibility across owned services/components.</li>
<li>Review and guide implementation approaches to ensure best engineering practices.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to Definition of Done (DoD) and engineering standards.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Delivery and Technical Leadership</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Provide high-level effort estimations and support planning activities.</li>
<li>Act as a technical authority in at least one programming language or technology stack.</li>
<li>Balance technical quality vs delivery speed.</li>

<div><strong>Mentorship and Engineering Culture</strong></div>

<li>Mentor engineers and contribute to their professional development and technical growth.</li>
<li>Assist Team Leads in defining and executing Personal Development Plans (PDPs).</li>

<li>7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role.</li>
<li>Proven experience in Scala and Java.</li>
<li>Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems in product-based or B2B environments.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).</li>
<li>Strong system design, architectural thinking, and deep understanding of software engineering best practices.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and effective technical communication across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.</li>
<li>Ownership, accountability, and ability to work in cross-functional environments.</li>
<li>Upper-Intermediate (B2+) level of English and Ukrainian or Russian.</li>
</ul>
