We are </span><strong>GoFasti, </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">a Talent-as-a-Service. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">GoFasti bridges the gap between world-class developers and designers from LatAm and first-class companies around the globe. </span></p></div><p>We need an English-proficient<strong> Data Engineer</strong>, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.<br><br>We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.</p><p>Are you the one we are looking for?</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul class="tiptap-list-disc"><li><p>Own data workflows end to end, including ingestion, storage, orchestration, transformation, validation, and delivery.</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain reliable inbound and outbound data transfers using cloud storage, secure file transfer protocols, and other integration methods.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines using workflow orchestration and event-driven processing.</p></li><li><p>Manage data across cloud storage, data warehouses, and analytical databases.</p></li><li><p>Design and optimize data models, schemas, queries, and transformations for reliable, efficient processing.</p></li><li><p>Own custom datasets supporting large clients and company partnerships, maintaining a clear understanding of their sources, business definitions, lineage, and downstream dependencies.</p></li><li><p>Partner with Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to clarify requirements, investigate discrepancies, and communicate technical constraints and data behavior.</p></li><li><p>Implement and maintain data quality checks, automated tests, monitoring, and alerts to ensure datasets are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot production issues across transfers, pipelines, and databases; identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.</p></li><li><p>Maintain documentation covering data flows, dataset definitions, architectural decisions, and operational recovery procedures.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate technical approaches through research and prototypes, explaining tradeoffs in reliability, performance, cost, and maintainability.</p></li><li><p>Apply appropriate access controls and secure data handling practices throughout the data lifecycle.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul class="tiptap-list-disc"><li><p>Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting production data pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Strong Python skills for data processing, automation, and integrations.</p></li><li><p>Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations, query optimization, and diagnosing data discrepancies.</p></li><li><p>Practical understanding of ETL and ELT patterns, workflow orchestration, and pipeline recovery.</p></li><li><p>Experience with cloud object storage and file-based data transfers, including familiarity with SFTP.</p></li><li><p>Experience designing data models and working with relational databases, including schemas, indexes, and query performance.</p></li><li><p>Ability to trace data from its source through transformations to downstream outputs and explain both its technical behavior and business meaning.</p></li><li><p>Ability to independently investigate problems, evaluate solutions, and support technical recommendations with evidence.</p></li><li><p>Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with technical and nontechnical teams.</p></li></ul><p><strong>It's a plus:</strong></p><ul class="tiptap-list-disc"><li><p>Experience with AWS, particularly Amazon S3 and AWS Lambda.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Apache Airflow or a comparable orchestration platform.</p></li><li><p>Experience with PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, or ClickHouse.</p></li><li><p>Experience managing custom datasets or integrations supporting enterprise customers or business partnerships.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with marketing analytics or first-party customer data.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><ul class="tiptap-list-disc"><li><p>The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,000 - $2,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.</p></li><li><p>This position is for a full time contract, through a payroll platform.</p></li><li><p>The talent will work remotely allocated at our client.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Here are the steps for this process:</strong><br><br>Application review/approval <strong>></strong> Screening interview with GoFasti's team <strong>></strong> We build and send your profile to our client <strong>></strong> Profile review/approval by client <strong>></strong> Interview with the client <strong>></strong> Hiring and onboarding.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Once you apply for the job, our team will review your resume.
