You will work across both environments, ensuring reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence.</p> <p>This is a hands-on technical role that requires a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code.</p> <p>As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to infrastructure architecture, lead technical initiatives, troubleshoot complex production issues, and collaborate closely with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and Software Engineering teams.</p> <p>This role is ideal for experienced infrastructure professionals who enjoy working across both cloud-native and traditional environments and want to take ownership of critical infrastructure without focusing on physical datacenter operations.</p> <p data-start="1491" data-end="1727"><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize infrastructure across <strong>AWS and bare-metal environments</strong>.</li> <li>Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based servers hosted by external infrastructure providers such as OVH.</li> <li>Manage and optimize AWS services, including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, ELB/ALB, and EKS.</li> <li>Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters running in both AWS and self-hosted environments.</li> <li>Design and maintain secure networking and connectivity between cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.</li> <li>Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.</li> <li>Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes using Python, Bash, and Ansible.</li> <li>Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.</li> <li>Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security, identifying opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Troubleshoot complex production incidents involving servers, networking, containers, and cloud services.</li> <li>Implement and improve backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.</li> <li>Support infrastructure modernization and future cloud migration initiatives when required.</li> <li>Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to improve deployment processes, scalability, and reliability.</li> <li>Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions, technical standards, and operational best practices.</li> <li>Maintain clear technical documentation and share knowledge across distributed engineering teams.</li> </ul> <h2>About you</h2> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">You are an experienced Infrastructure or Cloud Engineer with a strong background in <strong>Linux systems administration, AWS, Kubernetes, and automation</strong>.</p> <p>You understand how traditional infrastructure works and are equally comfortable working with modern cloud technologies.</p> <p>You enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges, troubleshooting production systems, and improving reliability through automation.</p> <p>You are comfortable taking ownership of infrastructure initiatives, working independently, and collaborating with international engineering teams.</p> <p>Most importantly, you are a hands-on engineer who understands both the underlying infrastructure and the cloud services running on top of it.</p> <h2 data-section-id="htanpl" data-start="3930" data-end="3945">Requirements</h2> <div id="message-list_1788783689.464219"> <h3 data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Language Requirements</h3> <ul> <li><strong>English:</strong> Full professional proficiency (<strong>C1+/C2 or near-native level</strong>) – Mandatory.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to participate fluently in complex technical discussions and collaborate with international teams.</li> <li><strong>Spanish:</strong> Nice to have, but not mandatory.</li> </ul> <h3>Experience</h3> <ul> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of hands-on experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.</li> <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.</li> <li>Proven experience managing both cloud infrastructure and dedicated physical/bare-metal servers.</li> <li>Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production.</li> <li>Experience operating business-critical infrastructure with high availability and reliability requirements.</li> <li>Experience working with international, distributed, and cross-functional engineering teams.</li> </ul> <h3>Cloud &amp; AWS (Must Have)</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Core AWS Services:</strong> EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Route 53, ELB/ALB, and RDS.</li> <li><strong>Networking:</strong> VPC networking, routing, security groups, VPNs, and connectivity between cloud and external infrastructure.</li> <li><strong>Container Orchestration:</strong> Experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes workloads.</li> <li><strong>Infrastructure as Code:</strong> Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.</li> <li>Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, scalability, and cost optimization.</li> </ul> <h3>Bare-Metal &amp; Infrastructure (Must Have)</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Linux Administration:</strong> Strong experience with Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, or similar distributions).</li> <li><strong>Bare-Metal Infrastructure:</strong> Experience administering dedicated physical servers hosted by external providers such as OVH, Hetzner, or equivalent.</li> <li><strong>Networking:</strong> Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.</li> <li><strong>Virtualization:</strong> Experience with VMware, KVM, Proxmox, or similar virtualization technologies.</li> <li><strong>Kubernetes:</strong> Hands-on experience managing self-hosted Kubernetes clusters, including cluster operations, networking, storage, and troubleshooting.</li> <li><strong>Storage &amp; Backup:</strong> Understanding of persistent storage, NFS, SAN/NAS, backup strategies, and disaster recovery.</li> <li><strong>Security:</strong> Experience with Linux hardening, access management, firewalls, and secure infrastructure configuration.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Please note:</strong> This position focuses on the remote administration and operation of bare-metal infrastructure.
