<h3>About the Client</h3>
<p>A major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending. The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base.</p>
<h3>What You’ll Do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and implement prioritized backend features using Java and Quarkus.</li>
<li>Apply engineering best practices to maintain technical and functional quality throughout the development lifecycle.</li>
<li>Build solutions that support flexibility, scalability, availability, resilience, and reliability.</li>
<li>Contribute to the definition and evolution of microservices and event-driven architectures.</li>
<li>Participate in technical, architectural, and product-evolution discussions.</li>
<li>Provide technical analysis and recommendations to support architectural decisions.</li>
<li>Design and implement integrations between internal and external services using REST APIs, messaging platforms, and event hubs.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain distributed applications in public cloud environments, primarily AWS.</li>
<li>Create and maintain unit, service, contract, and integration tests.</li>
<li>Contribute to technical standards, engineering best practices, and the continuous improvement of development processes.</li>
<li>Support observability through effective logging, health checks, metrics, monitoring, and alerting.</li>
<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to solve complex technical problems.</li>
<li>Participate in Agile and DevOps delivery practices.</li>
<li>Share knowledge and provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What You Bring</h3>
<ul>
<li>Senior-level experience in developing web applications and microservices using Java.</li>
<li>Strong proven experience with Java 8 through Java 21.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience developing applications using Quarkus.</li>
<li>Proven experience in developing and deploying applications in public cloud environments, preferably AWS.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture patterns.</li>
<li>Experience designing and developing distributed applications and service integrations.</li>
<li>Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.</li>
<li>Experience creating unit, service, contract, and integration tests using tools such as JUnit and Postman/Newman.</li>
<li>Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, or DynamoDB.</li>
<li>Experience with caching and data-indexing solutions.</li>
<li>Experience with messaging and event platforms such as AWS SQS, AWS SNS, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.</li>
<li>Experience implementing observability practices, including logging, health checks, metrics, and monitoring.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog.</li>
<li>Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of software engineering and design best practices, including Design Patterns, SOLID, Clean Code, and 12-Factor App principles.</li>
<li>Experience with serverless services, particularly AWS Lambda.</li>
<li>Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li>
<li>The ability to collaborate effectively with technical, product, and client stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
