These five traits are the key to achieving our purpose.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Honesty&nbsp;Reliability&nbsp;Curiosity&nbsp;Collaboration&nbsp;Passion</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Strategic Delivery</strong></li> </ul> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Expert/Senior Observability Engineers and SREs.</li> <li>Define and execute the enterprise observability roadmap, transitioning the organization to modern platforms (IBM Instana, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).</li> <li>Manage vendor relationships, software licensing, cloud consumption costs, and department budgets.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Agile, Scrum &amp; Project Management (PMP)</strong> <ul> <li>Act as the delivery leader for all observability engineering initiatives using <strong>Agile/Scrum</strong> frameworks.</li> <li>Oversee backlog grooming, sprint planning, and resource capacity for the engineering team.</li> <li>Apply <strong>PMP</strong> best practices to manage large-scale, complex projects, such as FOAK platform onboarding, tool migrations, and multi-cloud telemetry integrations.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>ITIL &amp; Operational Excellence</strong> <ul> <li>Champion <strong>ITIL v4</strong> practices across the team, ensuring strict adherence to Change, Incident, and Problem Management protocols.</li> <li>Serve as the Senior Escalation Manager during Major Incidents (P1/P2), coordinating multi-disciplinary war rooms and driving post-incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA).</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement by automating operational toil and integrating observability tools with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow).</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>SRE Governance &amp; Technical Oversight</strong> <ul> <li>Govern enterprise Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets.</li> <li>Provide technical oversight on architecture designs for Kubernetes observability, telemetry pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible/Terraform).</li> <li>Ensure all observability platforms adhere to enterprise security, RBAC, and compliance standards.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Stakeholder &amp; Transition Management</strong> <ul> <li>Partner with Application, Cloud, Security, and DevOps leaders to ensure observability is embedded into the CI/CD pipeline (Shift-Left).</li> <li>Oversee comprehensive Knowledge Transfer (KT) and transition programs, ensuring 24x7 operational readiness for newly onboarded technologies.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Frameworks</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Management &amp; Process:</strong> Agile/Scrum, PMP/Project Management methodologies, ITIL v4, ITSM (ServiceNow), OKR tracking, Budget/Vendor Management.</li> <li><strong>Observability &amp; APM Context:</strong> Deep conceptual understanding of IBM Instana, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Telegraf, and InfluxDB.</li> <li><strong>Cloud &amp; Infrastructure Context:</strong> Kubernetes, Docker, Multi-Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Linux, and legacy monitoring (Netcool, SolarWinds).</li> <li><strong>Automation Context:</strong> Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and IaC (Ansible/Terraform).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>12+ years of total IT experience</strong>, with at least <strong>3-5 years directly managing</strong> Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Observability, or Cloud Infrastructure teams.</li> <li>Proven track record of managing enterprise-wide IT transformation projects and complex vendor transitions.</li> <li>Deep experience operating within heavily regulated, 24x7 enterprise environments using structured service delivery models.</li> <li><strong>Required/Highly Preferred Certifications:</strong> <ul> <li><strong>ITIL 4 Foundation / Managing Professional</strong></li> <li><strong>Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)</strong></li> <li><strong>Project Management Professional (PMP)</strong> or equivalent Agile/Project management</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><br>&nbsp;<strong>Why Ensono?</strong></p> <p>Ensono is a place to make better happen – for our clients and for your career.
