We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Trust &amp; Safety team in our <strong>São Paulo engineering hub</strong> to lead a team that builds the systems keeping DoorDash's marketplace safe and trustworthy for consumers, merchants, and dashers worldwide.</p> <h2>About the Team</h2> <p>Trust &amp; Safety Engineering is responsible for protecting every interaction on the DoorDash platform — from the moment a user signs up to every message, transaction, and delivery that follows. Our systems process millions of events in real-time, using multiple layers of AI and machine learning to detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and harmful content at scale.</p> <p>As DoorDash expands across 40+ countries and multiple business lines — including food delivery, grocery, convenience, and package delivery — we are&nbsp;<strong>rebuilding our safety platform from the ground up</strong> to serve all companies in the DoorDash group globally, covering a massive variety of use cases that go well beyond traditional safety:</p> <ul> <li>Content moderation across text, voice, and image — in dozens of languages</li> <li>Real-time fraud and abuse detection</li> <li>Compliance and regulatory enforcement across markets with vastly different rules</li> <li>Decision systems that balance safety, user experience, and operational efficiency</li> </ul> <p>This is a platform problem, not a feature problem. Your focus will be on building the next generation of safety systems — a global, multi-product, multi-language moderation and enforcement platform that serves the entire DoorDash ecosystem.</p> <p>You will partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Legal, and Strategy &amp; Operations to define and deliver a roadmap that integrates AI-driven decisions, real-time content moderation, and robust policy enforcement into high-volume production systems.
