We are focused on redesigning our systems to support the next stage of growth. This is an opportunity for you to be owning several critical next generation infrastructure for databricks, and be a central part of databricks' growth.</p> <p>We are seeking exceptional technical leaders with a stellar track record to drive these transformative efforts.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Your role will be crucial in:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Complete ownership of multiple platforms: </strong>You will be responsible for defining and owning execution on a few dimensions of critical importance for the company: scalability, pjatformization, reliability.</li> <li><strong>Platformize serving infrastructure</strong>: Design abstractions that can support a wide range of current as well as emerging use cases (such as AI), determine the right tradeoffs and build consensus across Databricks to create as well as scale seamless product experiences for customers. Drive cross org impact, collaborate and build consensus among different stakeholders across several functions.</li> <li><strong>Re-architecting Platforms for scale</strong>: Redesign our existing systems to handle 10X to 100X increase in scale.</li> <li><strong>Build amazing developer experience</strong>: Revolutionize platform onboarding to cut down time from weeks to mere hours, enhancing efficiency and user experience.</li> <li><strong>Developing Impactful Features</strong>: Create features that significantly enhance both product functionality and end-user experience, driving meaningful improvements across Databricks.</li> <li><strong>Fostering Engineering Excellence</strong>: Cultivate a strong engineering culture focused on quality and productivity, setting a high standard for the team.</li> <li><strong>Mentoring Future Leaders</strong>: Act as a role model for junior team members, guiding their growth and development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we look for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>12+ years of production level experience in one of: Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar language.</li> <li>BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field</li> <li>Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch</li> <li>Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Databricks</strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif;">Databricks is the Data and AI company.
