This role sits at the intersection of <strong>business requirements, data analysis and technical delivery</strong>, with a strong focus on translating business needs into well-defined data solutions.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You will be responsible for an end-to-end analytical scope: understanding data requirements, identifying and validating source data, defining business logic and mappings, preparing Asset Designs and implementation-ready requirements, and collaborating with Data Engineering teams throughout delivery.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">This is a great opportunity for responsible for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Gathering, analysing and refining business and data requirements and translating them into clear technical requirements.</li> <li>Acting as a link between business stakeholders, data teams, architects and Data Engineers throughout the data delivery lifecycle.</li> <li>Identifying relevant data sources across <strong>HDP/Hadoop</strong> environments and determining how they should be delivered to the analytical layer in <strong>Google Cloud Platform</strong>.</li> <li>Analysing and validating data using <strong>SQL, BigQuery, Hive and Spark SQL</strong>.</li> <li>Preparing and maintaining <strong>Asset Designs, data mappings and detailed solution logic</strong>.</li> <li>Creating implementation-ready requirements and tickets for Data Engineering, covering data sources, scope, transformations, mappings and business rules.</li> <li>Collaborating with Data Engineers during implementation to clarify requirements, explain solution logic and validate delivered solutions.</li> <li>Verifying data accuracy, completeness, consistency and alignment with agreed requirements.</li> <li>Identifying and analysing <strong>Data Quality and Data Completeness</strong> issues and coordinating activities with Data Owners, asset owners and engineering teams to resolve them.</li> <li>Delivering activities related to <strong>Data Governance</strong>, including data mapping, standards validation and data access requirements.</li> <li>Preparing data access and permission requests for relevant users and groups.</li> <li>Analysing ongoing and ad hoc issues affecting data and pipelines, performing root cause analysis and defining required changes.</li> <li>Supporting enhancements to existing data pipelines, including changes to processing logic, schedules, dates and source systems.</li> <li>Creating and modifying scripts or code maintained in <strong>GitHub</strong> to support analysis, data validation and project delivery.</li> </ul> <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience delivering data solutions within <strong>banking or financial services.</strong></li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with&nbsp;<strong>SQL</strong> and complex data analysis.</li> <li>Practical experience with <strong>Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery</strong>.</li> <li>Experience analysing data in <strong>Hadoop/HDP environments</strong>, ideally using <strong>Hive and/or Spark SQL</strong>.</li> <li>Experience translating business requirements into technical data requirements.</li> <li>Good understanding of <strong>data mappings, transformation logic and data flows</strong>.</li> <li>Experience preparing detailed specifications, solution designs or implementation requirements for Data Engineering teams.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the areas of <strong>Data Quality and Data Completeness</strong>.</li> <li>Ability to investigate data issues, identify root causes and define appropriate solutions.</li> <li>Experience collaborating with a range of stakeholders, including business teams, Data Engineers, architects, Data Owners and asset owners.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>GitHub</strong> and the ability to create or modify scripts supporting data analysis and validation.</li> </ul> <p
