<p>The Product team is at the forefront of Brex's mission to empower employees anywhere to make better financial decisions. With a deep understanding of the business, we identify and scope out the most impactful opportunities for Brex to tackle. We are responsible for aligning cross-functional teams — such as Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Design — on key decisions. We set strategy and drive products from inception to launch, enabling Brex to grow rapidly and help our customers reach their full potential.</p>
<p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p>
<p>As a Staff Product Manager at Brex, you will operate at the intersection of product strategy, technical depth, and business impact. You will define and drive multi-quarter strategy within one of Brex’s most critical product domains, leading initiatives that materially shape the company’s trajectory. You will be expected to identify the highest-leverage problems, frame them with rigor, and mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver step-function improvements in customer value, revenue, efficiency, or distribution. You will work directly with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and GTM. You will influence decisions beyond your immediate team and elevate the standards of product thinking across the organization.</p>
<p><strong>Where you’ll work</strong></p>
<p>This role will be based in either our San Francisco, Seattle or New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office at least three days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to four weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Define and own a multi-quarter product vision and strategy aligned to Brex’s highest company priorities.</li>
<li>Identify high-leverage opportunities that create durable competitive advantage, not just incremental improvements.</li>
<li>Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams, systems, and stakeholder groups.</li>
<li>Develop deep domain expertise in your area (e.g., financial infrastructure, risk systems, growth systems, payables ecosystem, etc.) and use it to inform product direction.</li>
<li>Partner closely with Engineering to design scalable technical systems, engaging meaningfully in architectural discussions and tradeoffs.</li>
<li>Set clear success metrics tied to company-level outcomes and hold teams accountable to measurable impact.</li>
<li>Drive structured decision-making in ambiguous environments, balancing speed with rigor.</li>
<li>Influence senior leaders and executives through clear thinking, strong written narratives, and data-backed recommendations.</li>
<li>Improve product craft and operating standards across the organization, mentoring PMs and elevating how we build.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Experience:</strong> 7–10+ years of product management experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex, high-impact product initiatives in high-growth B2B or fintech environments. Experience building platform or financial infrastructure products is strongly preferred.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic rigor:</strong> Proven ability to define product strategy that translates into measurable business outcomes.</li>
<li><strong>Technical depth:</strong> Strong fluency in technical systems and architecture. You are comfortable discussing APIs, data models, experimentation frameworks, and system tradeoffs with engineers.</li>
<li><strong>Analytical excellence:</strong> Highly data-driven. Strong experience defining metrics, running experiments, and using SQL (or similar tools) to guide decisions.</li>
<li><strong>Executive communication:</strong> Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence senior stakeholders through structured thinking and compelling narratives.</li>
<li><strong>Systems mindset:</strong> Ability to reason holistically across product, technical, operational, compliance, and revenue systems.</li>
<li><strong>High standards:</strong> Demonstrated ability to raise the quality bar — for product thinking, execution, and customer experience.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>
<p>The expected salary range for this role is $240,000 - $300,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
