<p>We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our manufacturing operations in Merlimau, Melaka.</p>
<p>As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a team of production workers, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality output. This is a full-time position based on-site at our facility.</p>
<p><strong>In this role you will:</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of production workers</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor team performance and productivity, and implement strategies to optimize workflows</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide hands-on training and coaching to team members to develop their skills</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Identify and resolve any operational issues or bottlenecks in a timely manner</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and quality standards</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute production schedules</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide regular progress reports to management</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You will have:</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Proven experience as a Team Leader / Supervisor / Shift Lead in a manufacturing environment, especially heavy industry</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>5 to 7 years in pattern shop (wood-base) operations (pattern making & core making)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong engineering drawing skills</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team</p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control & resource management</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong communication and reporting skills</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic team. Able to work on shift hours (morning and afternoon), 6 days work week (Mon to Sat) but do not exceed 45 hours per week</strong></p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualification</strong></p>
<p>Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology (other types of Engineering / Technical disciplines will be considered.</p>
<p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Foundry pattern - pattern assembly, repair, and familiarity with wood, metal and resin patterns</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of casting design principles, tolerances and shrinkage allowance</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Tooling - machining processes, jigs, fixtures, gauges and tooling design. Require proficiency in CAD/CAM software</p>
