<ul>
<li>Build, lead, and scale engineering teams focused on data related services and infrastructure</li>
<li>Coach and mentor engineers, supporting career growth while driving measurable organizational impact</li>
<li>Partner with product managers, designers, and leadership to translate vision into quarterly roadmaps. Break down complex projects into iterative milestones and lead delivery</li>
<li>Make thoughtful architectural decisions, uphold engineering best practices, and foster a culture of high-quality code and design</li>
<li>Own the design, delivery, and operation of our data platform and financial reporting platform</li>
<li>Set the long term direction and evolution of the data platform</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with recruiting to identify and attract world-class engineering talent.</li>
<li>Roll up your sleeves when needed — from reviewing designs and code to triaging incidents or joining on-call rotations</li>

<p><strong>Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent</li>
<li>8+ years of work experience in data engineering</li>
<li>2+ years of experience managing engineering teams</li>
<li>Strong experience with server-side languages like TypeScript/Node.JS/Python/Kotlin</li>
<li>Strong experience with SQL databases like Postgres or MySQL</li>
<li>Strong experience with RESTful API design</li>
<li>Experience building data pipelines/ETL and familiarity with design principles</li>
<li>Experience with data warehouse technologies and relevant data modeling best practices (Snowflake, BigQuery, Spark, Presto, Druid, etc)</li>
<li>Strong experience with systems design and event driven systems (Kafka)</li>
<li>A self-starter capable of adapting quickly and being decisive</li>
<li>Experience leading projects and other engineers</li>
<li>Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging</li>
<li>Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures</li>
<li>Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in Financial Services and/or Financial Technology </li>
<li>Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures</li>
<li>Understanding and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain industry</li>
<li>Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications</li>
<li>Experience with data governance, handling PII, data masking</li>
