<p>Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot to support PIX payment integrations and related payment flows in Brazil.</p>

<li>
<p>Implement and optimize payment processing capabilities, including payment initiation, transaction status management, reconciliation, and exception handling.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Integrate with Brazilian banks, payment service providers, and external financial systems through APIs and other integration mechanisms.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Build reliable, high-performance backend systems with a strong focus on transaction consistency, idempotency, fault tolerance, and system availability.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve system stability and performance.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate closely with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver payment features from development through production deployment.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of payment services.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support payment-related security, risk control, and compliance requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.</p>

<h4><strong>Requirements:</strong></h4>

<p>Strong hands-on backend development experience with <strong>Java</strong>, preferably using Spring Boot and related frameworks.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and database design.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience working with relational databases and SQL; familiarity with caching, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing is a plus.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong understanding of backend engineering fundamentals, including concurrency, transaction management, error handling, and performance optimization.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience building and maintaining production systems, with the ability to independently investigate technical issues and deliver practical solutions.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and production monitoring tools.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and a willingness to get hands-on with coding, debugging, and operational troubleshooting.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h4>Preferred Qualifications:</h4>

<p>Experience with <strong>PIX</strong>, Brazilian payment systems, or integrations with Brazilian banks and local payment service providers.</p>

<p>Experience in payment processing, fintech, banking, digital wallets, or other transaction-intensive systems.</p>

<li>
<p>Familiarity with payment reconciliation, webhook processing, transaction lifecycle management, and payment failure recovery.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, Kubernetes, and observability tools.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Understanding of payment security, fraud prevention, and financial regulatory requirements.</p>
</li>
</ul>

<p>We are looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys writing code, solving complex backend problems, and building reliable payment systems. The ideal candidate takes ownership from development to production, is comfortable debugging real-world issues, and can turn business requirements into robust technical solutions.</p>
<p>Experience with PIX is a strong advantage, but we also welcome strong Java backend engineers from payments, fintech, banking, and other transaction-intensive environments who can quickly learn the Brazilian payment ecosystem.</p>
