Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.</p></div><h2>The Role</h2> <p>As a Senior Product Manager, Software at Dedrone by Axon, you will own a core software surface that helps operators detect, understand, and respond to drone threats. Depending on team needs, your focus could include command and control workflows, analytics and reporting, threat mitigation and response, or detection and tracking software. You will partner with engineering, design, data science, and field teams to ship products that hold up under real world operator pressure at stadiums, bases, borders, and critical facilities worldwide. This is a high leverage seat at the intersection of real time software, mission critical workflows, and customer outcomes.</p> <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Own a software product surface end to end: vision, roadmap, requirements, and launch</li> <li>Turn ambiguous customer problems into clear PRDs and technical specifications that engineering can execute against</li> <li>Work closely with Software Engineering, Data Science, UX and Design, and QA to ship reliable, intuitive operator workflows</li> <li>Partner with neighboring product teams to deliver a coherent customer experience across detection, command and control, analytics, and response</li> <li>Drive customer validation through direct engagement with law enforcement, military, and critical infrastructure operators</li> <li>Define and track product metrics tied to adoption, operational impact, and revenue</li> <li>Implement AI agents to reinvent how you ship products and 10x your product team's effectiveness</li> </ul> <h2>What You Bring</h2> <ul> <li>7+ years of product management experience shipping software products, with 3+ years in defense, security, real time operations, analytics, or comparable mission critical domains</li> <li>A proven track record shipping operator facing or data driven products with measurable adoption, accuracy, or revenue impact</li> <li>A passion for understanding customers' challenges and objectives</li> <li>The ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into well defined product requirements and technical specifications</li> <li>A talent for collaborating with agile software development teams to turn complex technical processes into intuitive and effective user workflows</li> <li>The ability to combine speed of execution with an uncompromising commitment to quality</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with experience defining and tracking product metrics to drive decisions</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non technical audiences</li> <li>Experience with Jira and agile backlog management</li> <li>Working knowledge of counter UAS, or the ability to ramp quickly into the domain</li> <li>US person (ITAR eligibility required)</li> <li>[Security clearance requirement: to confirm]</li> </ul> <h2>Nice to Have</h2> <ul> <li>Experience using agentic AI to accelerate product development and deployment</li> <li>Background in defense tech, aviation, or first responder software</li> <li>Experience with real time distributed systems or multi sensor data fusion</li> <li>Experience productizing data, such as analytics, reporting, or data as a service offerings</li> <li>Existing, prior, or ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance</li> </ul> <h2>Work Location</h2> <p>This role is based out of our Sterling Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
