Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.</p></div><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p> <p>As an Engineering Manager on the Connected Devices team, you will combine strong technical judgment, people leadership, and end-to-end ownership. You will lead a team responsible for mission-critical embedded software, maintain a clear architectural vision for your domain, develop engineers and technical leaders, drive predictable execution and operational excellence, and partner closely with Product and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.</p> <p>You will be accountable for the end-to-end success of your team’s area, including delivery, software quality, reliability, security, compliance, operational health, adoption, and long-term maintainability. You will make clear trade-offs across customer value, scope, schedule, technical debt, engineering cost, and long-term product health.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <p><strong>Work Location</strong>: This role is based out of our Ho Chi Minh City office and follows a hybrid schedule: onsite Tuesday through Friday and remote on Mondays, unless an approved accommodation applies. We place a high value on in-person collaboration and building a strong in-office culture.</p> <p><strong>Reports To:&nbsp;</strong>Senior Engineering Manager / Engineering Director</p> <p><strong>Direct Reports:</strong> Roughly 6 to start, with expectations to scale to 8+ after 6 months</p> <ul> <li>Own the end-to-end success of the team’s product area, including delivery, quality, reliability, security, compliance, operational health, adoption, cost, and customer outcomes.</li> <li>Partner with Product Management to connect engineering priorities to customer and business outcomes and make clear trade-offs across scope, schedule, quality, technical debt, cost, and long-term maintainability.</li> <li>Maintain a clear architectural vision for the team’s domain and ensure high-quality technical decisions through architecture, design, code, test, and operational reviews.</li> <li>Own execution planning, capacity, staffing, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments; proactively surface and manage trade-offs when plans change.</li> <li>Manage escalations within the team’s domain and drive cross-team dependencies to resolution across Firmware, Hardware, Cloud, Mobile, QE, Security, Manufacturing, and Product.</li> <li>Establish and monitor engineering and operational metrics and drive measurable improvements in delivery predictability, quality, reliability, and engineering effectiveness.</li> <li>Drive strong operational practices, including release readiness, incident response, root-cause analysis, retrospectives, and proactive risk reduction.</li> <li>Use AI-assisted engineering tools as part of your standard workflow and drive effective AI adoption across the team while maintaining a high quality bar.</li> <li>Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, clear expectations, feedback, career development, performance management, and retention of top performers.</li> <li>Create a culture of candor, accountability, continuous learning, and strong team engagement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, with strong people-management skills across hiring, coaching, career development, performance management, and retention.</li> <li>7+ years of experience in Firmware / Embedded Engineering or related systems software, with products shipped to customers.</li> <li>Strong technical judgment in embedded or systems software, with the ability to evaluate architecture, implementation, quality, reliability, and engineering trade-offs.</li> <li>5+ years of professional software development experience in C/C++, Go, Python, and/or another systems programming language.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience managing complex delivery, including planning, prioritization, staffing, dependencies, risk management, and recovery when commitments are at risk.</li> <li>Strong product and business judgment, with the ability to make trade-offs across customer value, scope, schedule, technical quality, cost, and long-term maintainability.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows, with the ability to evaluate their effectiveness and drive adoption across an engineering team.</li> <li>Nice to have experience leading teams where engineers own software quality end to end, including automated testing, design-for-testability, CI quality gates, defect prevention, release readiness, and production reliability.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits that Benefit You</strong></p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance&nbsp;</li> <li>Robust Paid Time Off policy&nbsp;</li> <li>Bonuses&nbsp;</li> <li>Lunch allowance&nbsp;</li> <li>Cell phone stipend&nbsp;</li> <li>Free LinkedIn Learning account or Udemy account</li> <li>Access to 24/7 online emotional and mental support&nbsp;</li> <li>Gym membership&nbsp;</li> <li>Free parking&nbsp;</li> <li>Stocked fridges and pantries - free coffee, cold beverages, snacks&nbsp;</li> <li>Annual Company Outing Trip&nbsp;</li> <li>Monthly team social activities</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Don’t meet every single requirement?
