<h1>Software Engineer (SRE)</h1>
<p><strong><u>What you will be working on</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>Solution Engineering</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain comprehensive system architecture with deep understanding of integration patterns and dependencies across the technology stack</li>
<li>Design and implement robust monitoring frameworks, intelligent alerting systems, and streamlined incident response procedures to ensure operational excellence</li>
<li>Develop and maintain detailed architectural documentation</li>
<li>Setup, configure and integrate application with middleware components as per the architecture documentation</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Security & Site Reliability Engineering</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Partner with infrastructure teams to implement security hardening measures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards</li>
<li>Design and execute comprehensive application security testing protocols and vulnerability assessment procedures, ensuring full alignment with MAS framework requirements and organisational processes</li>
<li>Conduct systematic security reviews, coordinate penetration testing initiatives, and perform thorough threat analysis including risk assessments of identified vulnerabilities and security findings</li>
<li>Define meaningful SLOs and SLIs, implementing automated monitoring and measurement systems to track service reliability and performance</li>
<li>Proactively monitor system health through advanced observability tools and execute comprehensive daily operational health assessments</li>
<li>Build system resilience through chaos engineering practices, comprehensive disaster recovery planning, and continuous performance optimisation initiatives</li>
<li>Maintain production system stability through participation in on-call rotations, providing expert-level support and rapid incident resolution</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>[What we are looking for]</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>At least 5 years' relevant experience in supporting and/or implementing payments and securities settlement systems with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Application support and operations, or application security, site reliability engineering, or solution architecture</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices in software development, security frameworks, vulnerability assessment tools, and penetration testing methodologies</li>
<li>Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and integration technologies</li>
<li>Proficiency in application testing assessment and management, including the ability to analyse test results and propose improvements</li>
<li>Familiarity with ICT governance policies, standards, and best practices in government agencies</li>
<li>Knowledge of service design principles and the ability to apply design thinking methods to identify transformation opportunities</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex business problems, recommending digitalisation and process changes</li>
<li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various internal and external stakeholders</li>
<li>Understanding of solution engineering principles, including the ability to design application architecture and evaluate hardware and software solutions. Example,
<ul>
<li>Experience in designing and implementing java applications, SQL skills, and shell scripting</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Server-side, Java/microservices, web services, RESTful API</li>
<li>Experience with RHEL, JBOSS EAP, OpenShift, Openstack, Watermelon, Maven, Oracle Database and fault-tolerant infrastructure concepts</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms and containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)</li>
<li>Strong understanding and experience handling file transfers - interfaces, interfaces resiliency, connectivity protocols e.g., Rest, SFTP, MQ</li>
<li>Experience with integration of Autosys, designing job scheduling, CI/CD, Datawarehouse, and Document Management System</li>
<li>Experience with setup, and integration of Observability platforms, monitoring, and alerts (e.g. Grafana, ELK stack)</li>

<li>Experience with the S.W.I.F.T messaging platform and interfaces</li>

<li>Experience in government digital projects or in banking and finance sector will be an advantage</li>
<li>Experience in supporting transactional system will be an advantage</li>
