In this role, you will be responsible for migrating on-premises applications to AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). You'll collaborate closely with application and data teams to ensure they have a solid, scalable platform for deploying their solutions. If you thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment and have a desire to continually learn while building cutting-edge cloud solutions, we want to hear from you!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Cloud Infrastructure &amp; Operations:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Implement robust solutions on AWS using services like EC2, Lambda, VPC, S3, RDS, and Document DB.</li> <li>Manage infrastructure changes via IaC (Terraform), ensuring scalable environments with EC2, ALB, NLB, EBS, and EFS.</li> <li>Migrate workloads to AWS, ensuring seamless transitions.</li> <li>Automate deployments and data resilience using Python, shell scripting, and SSM.</li> <li>Implement monitoring, alerting, and security with CloudWatch, SNS, CloudFront, and WAF.</li> <li>Administer Linux and Windows environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.</li> <li>Support incident management and participate in the on-call rotation.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Collaboration &amp; Continuous Improvement:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Work with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver customized AWS solutions.</li> <li>Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub, Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS services.</li> <li>Maintain comprehensive documentation and stay updated with industry trends.</li> <li>Collaborate in an agile environment to deliver high-quality work.</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What We Are Looking For:</strong></p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience with core AWS services, such as IAM, networking, security, and operations.</li> <li>Strong understanding of both relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Document DB, MongoDB).</li> <li>Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Bash, Python, or Go, with additional expertise in Linux administration, Windows, and shell scripting.</li> <li>Solid understanding and experience building systems using AWS compute services, such as EC2, and serverless platforms like AWS Lambda.</li> <li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, and a clear understanding of infrastructure pipeline concepts.</li> <li>Experience implementing AWS database solutions, such as RDS, DynamoDB, or Aurora.</li> <li>Familiarity with network protocols and IP networking, along with experience in network troubleshooting.</li> <li>Strong understanding of security best practices and a commitment to integrating them into daily tasks and projects.</li> <li>Experience with monitoring tools, such as Splunk, Grafana, and logging solutions like the ELK stack.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure in cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud.</li> <li>AWS technical certification, such as the AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.</li> <li>Skilled in collaborative projects with distributed teams and working with agile methodologies such as Scrum.</li> <li>Willingness to stay updated on key AWS technologies and innovations.</li> <li>Internal drive to learn, improve, and succeed with a keen eagerness to embrace challenges.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>AvePoint is proud to employ talent from many different backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
