<p><strong>What you’ll do</strong><em><br></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Own data center projects from design through construction, energization, commissioning, and turnover, with accountability for cost, schedule, scope, quality, and risk.</li>
<li>Help build Atoms’ data center development and construction program from the ground up, establishing the standards, processes, and playbook we’ll use as the program scales.</li>
<li>Apply a first-principles approach to how we design and build. Challenge industry conventions, understand why things are done the way they are, and find better ways to deliver.</li>
<li>Drive project execution and understand the critical path. Identify risks early and solve problems before they impact key milestones.</li>
<li>Lead coordination across electrical, mechanical, structural, controls, fire/life safety, and architectural scopes.</li>
<li>Drive utility coordination, permitting, inspections, energization, and commissioning.</li>
<li>Manage consultants, general contractors, specialty trades, equipment vendors, and commissioning providers, holding teams accountable for performance.</li>
<li>Own procurement and delivery of critical and long-lead equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, and cooling systems.</li>
<li>Review and challenge designs, schedules, estimates, change orders, and technical proposals. Identify gaps and drive decisions rather than simply administering the process.</li>
<li>When problems arise, determine the root cause, develop options, recommend a path forward, and drive it to resolution.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><br>What we’re looking for</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>7+ years delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects, with meaningful data center or mission-critical experience. Experience working for a general contractor strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Strong technical and field understanding of MEP systems, constructability, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and means and methods.</li>
<li>Experience delivering projects through utility energization, equipment startup, commissioning, and turnover.</li>
<li>Strong command of critical-path scheduling, cost management, procurement, and change management.</li>
<li>Ability to read and challenge drawings, specifications, schedules, estimates, submittals, RFIs, and technical proposals.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to operate independently, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and solve difficult problems under aggressive timelines.</li>
<li>Comfortable operating without an established playbook and turning lessons learned into repeatable standards and processes.</li>
<li>Clear, concise communicator who surfaces risks early and comes prepared with solutions.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.</li>
<li>Procore, Bluebeam Revu, and scheduling software experience preferred.</li>

<p><strong>What else you need to know</strong></p>
<p>This role is based in our San Francisco<em> </em>office. Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change - we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. We do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.</p>
<p>The base salary range for this role is<strong> $<span data-sheets-root="1">150,000 - $214,000 </span>per year.</strong></p>
<p>Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.</p>
<p>Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.</p>
