As a Software Engineer at Atoms, you will solve hard problems in distributed systems, workflows, microservice architecture, user facing products used by restaurants, or more. You will leverage open-source and proprietary technologies and use languages including Java, Go, Python, TypeScript, and more. You will build and operate services with world-class availability, performance, and scalability. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Produce high-quality code by leading or contributing to large cross-functional projects that impact and drive business success.</li> <li>Actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, keeping scalability at the forefront of technical designs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist our skilled operations and business teams in triaging and resolving production issues.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work with other engineers from various teams across verticals and review code.&nbsp;</li> <li>Improve our engineering standards, tooling, and processes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Build in a dynamic environment leveraging Data-Driven Development, Agile Methodologies, and Continuous Improvement.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of industry software engineering experience developing and operating complex systems using common language(s) such as Java, Go.</li> <li>Experience working with distributed systems and making technical architecture decisions.</li> <li>Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.</li> <li>Strong communicator who can explain complex topics to not only other engineers but also designers, product managers, and support.</li> <li>Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, threading, distributed systems, information retrieval, etc.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why join us</strong></p> <p>At Atoms, you’ll work on one of the defining challenges of our time—bringing automation into the physical world to drive real, lasting impact.
