Senior Software Engineer (AI Driven) - Curveglass

<p class="isSelectedEnd">Curveglass is a startup incubated by <strong>AE Studio</strong> that provides a flight-level correction layer for airline revenue management, helping airlines make better decisions through advanced data science and modeling.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">As part of the AE Studio ecosystem, Curveglass combines the speed, focus, and ownership of a startup with access to a broader network of engineering, AI, and product expertise.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Curveglass runs directly inside each airline’s cloud environment. Our architecture consists of a shared <strong>Core</strong>, which contains the models and is maintained by the core team, and a client-specific <strong>Adapter</strong>, which handles everything needed to make Curveglass work within each airline’s environment — including the web application, APIs, data integrations, business rules, and exports into the airline’s systems.</p> <h3>ABOUT THE ROLE</h3> <p class="isSelectedEnd">As a <strong>Senior Software Engineer at Curveglass</strong>, you’ll own the technical implementation of Curveglass for one or two airline clients end-to-end.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">This is a hands-on engineering role with broad ownership. You’ll build and maintain client-specific Adapter code, work across frontend and backend systems, integrate with airline data and infrastructure, and deploy and operate Curveglass within client cloud environments.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You’ll also work directly with clients. That means understanding their technical and business needs, participating in and leading meetings, troubleshooting issues, analyzing recommendation results in collaboration with revenue management teams, and managing technical expectations as needed.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You’ll work closely with the Curveglass core team to determine what should be solved within a client’s Adapter and what should become part of the shared Core. You’ll bring client needs back to the team as roadmap input and Core change requests, while owning the implementation of client-specific functionality yourself.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">We’re looking for someone who enjoys the full lifecycle of software engineering: <strong>understanding the problem, building the solution, deploying it, and seeing how it performs in the real world.</strong></p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You’ll have meaningful ownership over the systems you build and the opportunity to influence Curveglass’s architecture and product as we grow.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">If you enjoy owning technical problems end-to-end and working closely with the people using what you build, we’d love to talk.</p> <h3>ABOUT YOU</h3> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You’re a strong, pragmatic Software Engineer who enjoys owning systems beyond just writing the code.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You’re comfortable working across different parts of the stack and taking responsibility for an implementation from beginning to end: understanding requirements, designing the solution, building integrations and product functionality, deploying infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and continuing to improve the system once it’s live.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You’re comfortable operating in a startup environment where problems may not always come neatly defined. You can take ownership, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and move from an ambiguous problem to a reliable production solution.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You also communicate well with people outside of engineering. You can understand the business context behind a technical request, explain technical decisions clearly, and lead conversations with clients when needed.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You work well independently, collaborate closely with data science and product teams, and care about building software that is reliable, maintainable, and genuinely useful.</p> <h4>Required Skills and <li><strong>Fluency in Python:</strong> You’re highly proficient with Python and comfortable using it in production environments.</li> <li><strong>Full-stack development:</strong> You’re comfortable working with <strong>TypeScript and React</strong> and can own frontend functionality when needed.</li> <li><strong>SQL and data integration:</strong> You can work confidently with relational data, APIs, client datasets, and production data flows.</li> <li><strong>Cloud infrastructure:</strong> You’re comfortable deploying and maintaining applications in <strong>AWS or Azure</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Containers and infrastructure as code:</strong> You have hands-on experience with containers and tools such as <strong>Terraform</strong> as part of your regular development workflow.</li> <li><strong>End-to-end ownership:</strong> You’re comfortable taking responsibility for a system across application code, integrations, infrastructure, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.</li> <li><strong>Client-facing communication:</strong> You’re comfortable interacting directly with clients, leading technical meetings when needed, explaining decisions clearly, managing expectations, and pushing back thoughtfully when appropriate.</li> <li><strong>Business thinking:</strong> You care about why something is being built and the outcome it needs to create, not just the technical
