About the Role
Join a small, customer-facing engineering team deploying data and analytics software in tactical edge environments. You will build and support systems on compact, on-prem hardware where resource constraints, limited connectivity, and demanding operational conditions make reliability essential.
What You'll Do
Own end-to-end delivery of high-stakes customer projects, working with minimal supervision.
Work directly with customers to design and deploy containerized software in air-gapped, on-premises, and edge environments.
Troubleshoot network and systems issues, review monitoring and alerts, manage configurations and load balancing, and support container orchestration and upgrades.
Provide operational support to help resolve issues quickly and minimize disruption to customer operations.
Discuss technical architecture with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Travel to customer locations approximately 25% of the time.
What We're Looking For
Two to five years of software engineering experience, including hands-on integration with physical hardware or edge systems.
A computer science degree and strong software engineering fundamentals.
Experience deploying and managing containerized applications with Kubernetes.
Deep Linux systems experience, including administration, networking, and on-premises infrastructure.
Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Bash, Go, or JavaScript.
Experience in defense, government, systems integration, or related customer environments; familiarity with data and analytics platforms is a plus.
An active US Secret or Top Secret security clearance and authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $135,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote, United States. The primary location is Palo Alto, California. The role requires travel to customer locations.
