About the Role
Join the core engineering team building and scaling the distributed systems behind a data activation platform. You will improve the systems that move customer data reliably and quickly, supporting a global customer base and a growing set of real-time use cases.
What You'll Do
Analyze and optimize the syncing pipeline to move large volumes of data to customer destinations more quickly.
Build toward real-time syncing and support streaming data sources such as webhooks and queues.
Identify scaling and reliability bottlenecks, then design systems to support substantial growth.
Develop low-latency caching capabilities on top of data warehouses for real-time personalization use cases.
Extend multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure to support global availability and data residency needs.
Own projects from design through delivery and work directly with customers on complex scaling challenges.
What We're Looking For
At least 7 years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on depth in distributed systems and backend engineering.
Experience building and scaling complex, business-critical systems through significant growth, including event collection, data streaming, or data sync services.
Practical experience with message queues, Kafka, SQL databases, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Strong systems design fundamentals and an understanding of how large-scale distributed systems behave.
Experience moving very large data volumes, ideally at terabyte-per-day scale, and familiarity with infrastructure-level tools such as Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
Strong communication skills, ownership, and the ability to learn quickly in a high-growth environment.
Strong computer science fundamentals and a backend-focused background.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $180,000 to $320,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
