Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join a team building AI and automation solutions for enterprise customers. You will work directly with clients to understand complex operational workflows, deploy AI agents into live systems, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Own customer delivery from kickoff and scoping through implementation, production launch, and ongoing iteration.

• Map customer workflows, identify worthwhile automation opportunities, and address process issues or blockers.

• Translate business logic into agent behaviors, including actions, decision rules, exception handling, and fallbacks.

• Configure and deploy agents across enterprise systems such as ERPs, portals, spreadsheets, email, and custom tools.

• Write integration code, scripts, and prototypes, then debug and improve agents in production.

• Lead customer working sessions, build relationships with stakeholders, and guide scope toward measurable impact.

• Document reusable deployment patterns and share recurring customer needs with Product and Engineering.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years of experience in forward deployed engineering, applied AI, technical consulting, or a similar hands-on delivery role.

• Experience shipping AI or agentic systems in production within customer environments, including ownership of scoping, implementation, and go-live.

• Hands-on skills with LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, evaluations, MCP, APIs, and retrieval-augmented generation.

• Integration and scripting experience with Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.

• Customer delivery experience beyond pre-sales, demos, or advisory work, with the ability to communicate business impact and work effectively with stakeholders.

• Experience in operationally complex areas such as retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics is valued.

• Based in the UK and authorized to work without visa sponsorship; willing to travel frequently to customer sites across the UK and Europe, around three days per week during active deployments.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: €110,000 to €200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Remote within the United Kingdom, with frequent travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe during active deployments.
