Within Finance, FP&A owns budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning, and acts as the analytical partner behind the company's biggest decisions. The team drives profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting quality, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics, translating them into insights and recommended actions for senior management.

It also defines the performance metrics that create accountability and ownership across FP&A and the business units, tracking them consistently to measure progress, monitor KPIs and drive cost optimization.

We're looking for a FP&A professional to be the lead finance partner for Nubank's Insurance business unit in Brazil. Insurance is one of Nubank's fastest-evolving businesses, operating through partnerships with leading insurers and a growing product portfolio that includes Life, Mobile, FinPro and Pix Protegido insurance.

You'll own planning, closing and performance analysis for the BU with a high degree of autonomy, shaping how the business sets ambition, measures results and makes trade-offs as it scales, and acting as a trusted advisor to the BU leadership on strategic decisions.

• Budget and forecast: Own the Insurance BU's budget and forecast cycles end to end, challenging drivers and assumptions with the GM, Product and Business Analytics teams, and defending the BU's numbers within the Brazil plan.

• Long-term planning: Lead the BU's long-term financial plan, driving the discussion that aligns the business's ambition with Finance leadership's expectations for Insurance, and turning it into a clear trajectory for revenue, profitability and investment.

• Monthly closing and performance review: Own the Insurance closing routine end to end, from BU financials and legal entity closing to the high-level analysis consolidated for Finance leadership. Lead the Monthly Operating Review with the BU leadership team and our insurance partners, explaining variances and bringing a point of view on what should change.

• Unit economics and product P&L: Own the P&L and unit economics by product, and use them to influence decisions on pricing, launches and growth investments, including building business cases for new products.

• Partnership economics: Manage the financial processes behind our insurance partnerships, including reimbursements (payroll, marketing) and profit sharing reconciliation, making sure the economics of each agreement are correctly reflected in results.

• KPIs and source of truth: Own the BU's financial source of truth and core KPIs, making sure definitions are consistent across Finance, the BU and analytics teams.

• Systems and automation: Drive the evolution of the Insurance models in Anaplan and the data pipelines behind historicals and closing, identifying where the routine breaks as the business scales and leading the process and automation improvements to fix it.

Required

• Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting or investment banking, with a track record of owning P&L analysis, budgeting and forecasting for a business or product line;

• Strong financial modeling skills and comfort building unit economics from the ground up;

• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and business leaders, bringing a point of view and not just analysis;

• Ability to translate complex numbers into clear narratives for executive audiences;

• Experience leading process or systems improvements in a finance routine;

• Strong sense of ownership in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment;

• Fluent English and Portuguese.

Nice to Have

• Experience with insurance, bancassurance or partnership-based businesses (loss ratio, commission structures, profit sharing);

• Hands-on SQL and data skills;

• Experience with Anaplan or similar planning tools.
