Primary Goal: As a QA Automation Engineer with GLOBO, you will help our teams ensure that our applications are as high quality and error-free as possible. Our clients rely on us to deliver high-quality error-free experiences 24x7. In this role, you will work with our engineering teams and other teams at GLOBO to ensure that products and features meet the needs of our teams and clients. This role will give you a mix of automated and manual testing, allowing you to continue developing your skills in multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test cases for new features and update test cases as features change.

• Create, manage, and execute automation tests (Unit, Integration, UI, and API) in Playwright and Appium for our web and mobile apps.

• Validate and document production bugs reported in support tickets or automated error collection systems.

• Execute manual test cases and document any identified bugs, as needed.

• Recommend improvements in our applications to improve operability and usability.

• Work with our engineering and operations during deployments to ensure successful platform upgrades.

Required Minimum Education and Experience:

• Experience and expert level knowledge in the following:

• Ruby on Rails

• PostgreSQL

• AWS

• Twilio

• Objective-C/Swift

• Android/Java

• JavaScript

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

• 3+ years of experience developing or testing software

• Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar

• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: This position operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand up or to sit for up to eight hours or more at a time. The employee must use his/her hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
