Sobre a vaga

What’s the opportunity?

Join dLocal’s Fraud Prevention Buyer Strategy team, responsible for the fraud strategy behind buyer-side card transactions across dLocal’s merchant portfolio — balancing fraud performance with conversion so the business can grow safely.

As Team Leader, you’ll set the direction for a portfolio of merchants and lead the analysts working on it, partnering closely with Data Science, IT, and Commercial to turn the team’s priorities into coordinated initiatives.

You’ll also champion AI-enabled automation and process improvements that cut manual work and scale the team’s capacity.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee a portfolio of merchants, monitoring fraud and conversion performance and guiding actions to keep results on target.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of analysts, helping them prioritize work and develop their fraud-prevention capabilities.
  • Set priorities with Data Science, IT, and Commercial, translating dLocal’s needs into clear objectives and coordinated initiatives.
  • Drive AI-based automation initiatives — both by guiding the team’s projects and by building and implementing solutions yourself.
  • Identify repetitive or error-prone processes and work with relevant partners to implement tools, scripts, integrations, or workflow improvements.
  • Use data and performance trends to assess fraud strategies, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform decisions.
  • Communicate recommendations and priorities clearly, building effective working relationships across Fraud Prevention and partner teams.

What skills do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in fraud prevention, including managing fraud scores.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to monitor performance, investigate trends, and support decisions.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data; knowledge of Python or another programming language is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and machine-learning concepts — able to identify opportunities and build solutions yourself, not only guide others.
  • A proven track record leading and coaching teams, with the ability to guide analysts and collaborate across teams.
  • An automation mindset: able to spot opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve process quality and scalability.
  • Advanced English (mandatory).
