Plant Controller

Based on-site at the Manaus manufacturing facility, the Plant Controller serves as the strategic financial partner to the Plant Director and leads the Industrial Controlling function for the CKD assembly operation. This role is responsible for plant budget management (OPEX/CAPEX), local inventory governance, on-site manufacturing performance tracking, and leading the cost

control team (Specialist based in São Paulo). The Plant Controller acts as the vital bridge connecting shop-floor operations in Manaus with the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and Finance Business Partner in São Paulo.

Plant Budget Cost Management (OPEX/ CAPEX): Lead budget planning (AOP / Forecast) and daily control of fixed costs, variable costs, and capital expenditures for the Manaus plant, identifying variances and driving corrective actions with operations leadership.

Inventory Governance Shop-Floor Control: Drive cycle counting policies, operational audits, and the annual physical inventory count in Manaus. Ensure accurate reporting of scrap, CKD kit damages, and operational losses directly on-site.

Leadership of the Costing Function: Direct line management of the Cost Controller (based in SP), setting priorities for variance analysis, SAP cost modeling, and Material Ledger closures to ensure cost intelligence effectively supports shop-floor decisions.

Operations Business Partnership: Evaluate plant operational KPIs (OEE, direct/indirect labor absorption rates, downtime costs, and capacity utilization) in close collaboration with Plant Management.

Regional Tax Incentive Compliance (SUFRAMA / SEFAZ-AM): Ensure shop-floor accounting and cost allocations comply with Basic Production Process (PPB) requirements and Manaus Free Trade Zone (PIM) tax benefit rules (ICMS stimulus credit, PIS/COFINS, and IPI exemptions).

Corporate HQ Interface: Align Manaus operational events with consolidated financial planning in São Paulo, participating actively in performance reviews with the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and Finance Business Partner.

Technical Skills:

● Proficiency in SAP (CO/CO-PC, FI, and MM modules).

● Deep understanding of Manaus Free Trade Zone (PIM) tax incentives and regulations (SUFRAMA / SEFAZ-AM).

● Strong shop-floor acumen and familiarity with assembly processes (CKD).

● Advanced/ Fluent English for global/ regional reporting.

Experience/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Production Engineering and or Post-graduate degree/MBA in Finance or Industrial Management is preferred.
• Solid experience in Industrial Controlling / Plant Control within manufacturing industries (automotive, assembly plants, or electronics in the Manaus Free Trade Zone).
