About the job
We're looking for a Credit Portfolio Manager / Risk Specialist to keep track of the CrediPay credit portfolio and its risk performance, on both the buyer and the seller side. You'll build, calculate and present the risk indicators that show how the book is doing, explain what drives each movement in provisions and losses, and report the numbers to our committees, board and fund partners. You'll work closely with our Data Science team as the business focal point for our credit models, designing the policies that decide who we lend to and how much, from acquisition to credit limits, and weighing growth against risk-adjusted margin. You'll also lead ad hoc analyses on pricing and other questions as they come up.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in credit risk, including provisions and loss analysis, ideally in fintech, lending or FIDC/receivables.
- Strongly analytical, with a solid grounding in statistics: distributions, regression, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and model performance and stability metrics such as KS, Gini, AUC and PSI.
- Solid knowledge of credit and credit policy, and of risk metrics: roll rates, vintages, delinquency and NPL, aging, provisions, cost of risk and concentration.
- Experience designing and monitoring credit policies, from acquisition to credit limits, and measuring their impact.
- Understanding of unit economics and risk-adjusted margin (revenue, cost of risk, cost of funding), so that policy and pricing decisions weigh growth against losses.
- Strong SQL, plus Python or R for analysis.
- Data visualization with a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
- Understanding of machine learning from the user side: how credit models work and how to apply them day to day. Model development stays with our Data Science team.
- Able to turn numbers into a clear message for committees and the board, with an ownership mindset and the rigor to reconcile every figure before presenting it.
- Advanced English, written and spoken.
- Differentiator: experience with B2B credit.
Responsibilities
- Track the portfolio's provisions and losses, and explain what drives each movement.
- Build, calculate and report the risk indicators (delinquency, NPL, vintages, roll rates, losses, aging), including the materials that go to committees, the board and our fund partners.
- Segment and analyze the portfolio, and project how it will perform.
- Monitor buyer- and seller-level risk and portfolio concentration (single buyer, single seller, sector), including credit-insurance limits, against our internal caps and the criteria of our funding vehicles.
- Set up early-warning indicators and follow our credit models from the business side (approval rates, stability, predicted versus realized default), flagging deterioration early.
- Design and adjust credit and limit policies with the Data Science team, from acquisition to credit limits, deciding where to expand or restrict credit based on risk-adjusted margin.
- Act as the business focal point for Data Science in the development and use of our credit models.
- Lead ad hoc analyses on pricing and other questions that come up.
