ABOUT THE ROLE

The Brazil Marketing Director is responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of the marketing agenda for Coty’s Global Prestige & Lifestyle Brands in Brazil, driving brand growth, market share, Net Revenue and profitability.


This role acts as the local business owner for the brand portfolio, translating global and regional strategies into winning local plans and defining how brands and investments should be prioritized and activated in the Brazilian market.


The Marketing Director combines strong brand-building capabilities with business and market ownership, leading portfolio strategy, innovation and launches, communication, advocacy, go-to-market execution and marketing performance.


As a key member of the Brazil Leadership Team, the role partners closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, E-commerce, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain and regional/global teams to identify growth opportunities, optimize resources and ensure best-in-class marketplace execution.


RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Marketing Strategy

  • Define and lead the Brazil marketing strategy for the Global Prestige & Lifestyle Brands portfolio, aligned with global brand vision, LATAM priorities and Brazil business objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities by brand, category, consumer, channel and customer, leveraging consumer insights, market dynamics and competitive intelligence.
  • Drive long-term brand equity while ensuring short-term commercial performance and profitability.
  • Define the strategic role of each brand within the Brazilian portfolio and ensure clear prioritization of resources.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the General Manager and Brazil Leadership Team, contributing to business planning and key commercial decisions.


2. Brand & Portfolio Management

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across the portfolio, ensuring clear focus and prioritization.
  • Ensure consistent global brand positioning while adapting strategy and execution to Brazilian consumer behavior, culture, market dynamics and channel realities.
  • Lead product launches, innovations and 360° campaigns across all categories.
  • Assess global innovation pipelines and define the appropriate local portfolio, launch sequencing, ambition and commercialization strategy.
  • Lead the local product adaptation and nationalization process, working cross-functionally to ensure launches happen with the right assortment, timing and business case.
  • Secure required approvals with regional and global brand teams for local initiatives and adaptations.
  • Continuously review portfolio productivity, identifying opportunities to:
  • accelerate hero products and franchises;
  • optimize assortment;
  • expand distribution;
  • improve portfolio mix;
  • rationalize low-performing SKUs.
  • Contribute directly to financial planning and Supply Chain planning, including forecasting, budget ownership, investment allocation, performance tracking, inventory health and product availability.
  • Act as the guardian of brand pricing architecture and positioning in Brazil, ensuring that recommended retail prices, price ladders and promotional strategies are consistent with brand equity, portfolio roles and competitive dynamics.


3. Advocacy Strategy

  • Build and lead Coty Brazil’s advocacy strategy across the portfolio, maximizing investment effectiveness to drive cultural relevance, share of voice, consideration, engagement and measurable business impact.
  • Ensure best-in-class content and storytelling, balancing global brand consistency with local cultural relevance.
  • Continuously identify new platforms, communities and cultural opportunities capable of accelerating brand relevance.
  • Participate actively in Coty’s digital transformation, fostering innovation and new ways to connect brands with consumers.


4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead the Brazil go-to-market strategy, ensuring strong connection between brand ambition and operational execution.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Trade Marketing to translate brand strategies into winning customer and channel plans.
  • Partner with E-commerce sales team to accelerate the digital business, integrating brand content, media, retail media and commercial activation.
  • Partner with Media and regional/global teams to ensure effective investment allocation and campaign execution through data-led decision making.
  • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance and relevant teams to manage product availability, nationalization and launch readiness.
  • Manage agency relationships across PR, digital, social, advocacy and creative disciplines, ensuring performance, accountability and strategic alignment.
  • Participate in strategic customer meetings and joint business planning when relevant.


5. Consumer Insights & Market Leadership

  • Build a deep understanding of the Brazilian beauty and fragrance consumer, translating insights into actionable business opportunities.
  • Monitor category evolution, competitive activity, pricing, consumer trends, retail dynamics and emerging channels.
  • Identify white spaces, growth opportunities and competitive risks within the Brazilian market.
  • Champion a consumer-first mindset across brands and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of brand health, market share, sell-out and key consumer metrics.


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience leading Marketing, preferably within Beauty, Luxury, Prestige, FMCG or consumer-driven industries.
  • Strong understanding of Brazilian consumer behavior, retail dynamics and the competitive landscape in Beauty.
  • Experience leading product launches campaigns and integrated 360° marketing programs.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with demonstrated ability to connect Marketing decisions to P&L and business performance.
  • Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations.
  • Proven people leadership and talent-development experience.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
